the whole of "the lemon of pink".

it is one of the most incredible albums I've ever heard.

fleetmouse saw them play and said they were good.

even that bastion of hipsterness pitchforkmedia thought they
were good live.

their first record is my favorite. it's tough to choose any
one song, really. the way they perform goes beyond any
description. it's perfect.

from thought for food:
1. enjoy your worries, you may never have them again.
2. read, eat, sleep
4. contempt
5. all our base are belong to them
10. getting the job done

from the lemon of pink:
3. tokyo
8. take time
9. don't even sing about it
10. the future, wouldn't that be nice?

from lost and safe:
2. be good to them always
10. an owl with knees

they are all pretty awesome. the latter album being my least
favorite, and the first and second being tied for my
favorite. i wasn't too fond of the prefuse collab/remix.
just sounded like prefuse, but with samples of the books.

it's kind of disappointing on that prefuse thing to hear
samples from Books albums being reused.

i know what you mean. it seems like he just kind of threw
them in there at a whim. kind of cheapened the sample at the
time of hearing, but then when hearing it in it's right
place (a lovely books song) then all was well again

i guess since i'm not very familiar with the books i enjoyed
the prefuse EP more than i apparently should have. i seem to
be quite alone in my opinion that it's super-duper. hmm.

well (in reference to both curbs and lambsauces posts) -
seeing as I listened to "lemon of pink" like a MADMAN I
instantly recognise those samples and think "oh that's from
there".

it just feels kind of cheap. I agree with curb - they work
so wonderfully on "lemon" it just seems to spoil them.

samples any more.

I can send them new sampopples of me reading monoid posts
out loud.
