I like the lyrics!

chicken soup, very pretty
and the chicken flower is sweet
but the soup of the chicken
is impossible to eat

Coincidentally (or perhaps not) I am making chicken soup.

mmyes I can see your point on the clipping, I'll see if I
can do something about that.

maybe I can remix it at my friend's studio, on good speakers
etc.

Are you still using Nuendo? The mixer will tell you when
it's clipping - the "C" in the master out channel in the
mixer will light upo red like. Try reducing the volumes in
your instrument and/or sample channels and putting a
compressor/limiter in the master out channel.

This is a good way to keep an eye on what's
happening to your dynamic range and frequency spectrum.

yes, I know all that.

the mixing isn't done very well, is all. I've found that
when I make a track in my friend's studio I hardly have any
clipping.

a lot of the samples are pretty rough too, causing a lot of
clicky sounds, which may sound like clipping, while not
being so.

but there's still some rrrreal clipping there.

there's something about this track that i really like... i'm
not sure if i can quite put my finger on it.. it's got a
nice sense of how to build dramatic tension... and i like
the lo-fiedness of it all... but i was kind of anticipating
some sort of crazy tension release at the end... seems like
you could add more to it (lengthwise)...

wow, best track ever...sort of....well not really....but
hell it's not bad...Thad is going to have the best EP ever
though :D...sort of....well not really...but hell it won't
be bad. I still have to finish my track off for him...which
will be the best track ever...sort of...well not
really...but hell it won't be bad.

Yes. That is qrter's music, exactly. Some sort of experience
of removed appreciation. Truly alien in character, amongst a
sea of music that claims to be.

yes, definately fix that clipping.

But I didn't really enjoy the track... It is alien, but its
bit... hmmm... maybe it needs more dynamics, everything in
the track sounds 'seperate' from each other, which is what
you we're going for, thats cool. But it needs a bit more
'organic' feel, methinks. The sounds are good however. So
yeah... :\

thanks for listening ALL OF YOU!! yes!!! ALL OF YOU.

and for your enjoyment, I just uploaded a de-clipped
version
.

as far as both Nuendo and Soundforge are concerned there is
now non-clippance. same link yeh yeh yeh.

like I said, a few of the samples still have ticks and
clicks in 'em. yarr.

well, I do try to make my music organic.. which would mean I
failed in this case!

it does happen now and then, that the sounds just keep
sounding unconnected. in this case, I don't know.. have to
hear it some more myself. after a while. a long, long while.
:)

uploaded yet another version - tried to remove
clipping from the samples themselves, made some minor
changes in structure.

anyway... thanks for listening, all!

JAroen: MY GOD! who'd ever think it!? :D

cie jiks: do you mean Jega? if so, I don't hear it, I guess.
thanks though. don't know the other names you mentioned, so
I can't comment on that.

nobsmuggler: as long as my friends don't mind it being on
their server. which should be quite long, I guess.

Thad: you're a winner. little tip: lose the boobs.
