I hope the track that advertised the afx station is finished
and released. The demo is only 26 seconds long but shits on
everyone else's music

Can't remember , I said something about hip-hop groups I
like. And I ranted a bit about how good square pusher is.
I'll probably leave him alone now lol.

I did ask about the Craig David remix that he mentioned in a
2001 interview with the guardian. But he didn't reply. I
guess it's copyrighted. Bet it's fucking amazing.

i bet he has people flying from America to camp on his lawn
and stuff like that, thats why i'd hate to be famous. your
just posting a few innocuous comments! i think at one point
he said he doesnt care how much anyone comments, i;d be like
that as well

For someone who is rich and successful he's played a blinder
really, every step of the way he's been a trend setter,
inspirational. I used to think stupid things like it was
wrong for him to play games with the press and lie in
interviews, but now I realise there's nothing malicious
inside him, he was just joking and has a wicked sense of
humour.

yeah and he was in his 20s, and the press are eager to
continually create mythologies around people, so he used the
press as they use other people.

i keep imagining this over and over and wonder how it will
be perceived in future generations. the other day i asked
myself whether todays renowned classical composers, were the
most skilled ones of their time or if popularity played a
bigger role. but i guess music professors know. they analyze
the shit out of it and genuinely found out who had class and
who just was a pop phenomena and successful due to having
the right sponsors. in the local classical radio station
they talk about rather unknowns all the time. pointing out
their skills. so i guess he earned quite a spot in our era.

Have you read that interview where he goes up in the
helicopter? No wonder he doesn't like to do interviews, the
interviewer gets really personal and doesn't care about the
music. Seems a right cunt, perhaps im reading it wrong

girl/boy artwork rather than talking about the music or
anything, jesus

talk about the music and synths and stuff

James says he didnt plan to release an album this year until
he lost an mp3 player somewhere on a flight up to Scotland,
"which wasn't very wicked." On the player were 273
unreleased Aphex tracks and 80 by Squarepusher. Fortunately
both artists had copies. "I thought someone's gonna upload
it sooner or later to the internet, I still reckon they will
do. So I just thought I'd get a big chunk out, 'cos I was
gonna do a 4 CD album, but that still wouldn';t cover all
the tracks that I lost and I would release all the tracks
that are on there but its just a fucking nightmare trying to
do four CD albums. Like, two's bad enough."
