I think it was originally meant to be the day when you opened your presents/boxes during the Victorian periods, everyone opens them on Christmas day now so boxing day is just the day reserved for veging out with a paper crown on your head, a mince pie/sherry and watching a seen Connery era bond movie/Indiana jones on tv |
