well, i didn't hear the 6000 bucks out of it
sounds pretty good though

but i like my cheap stuff more (except from the empress
reverb that is not cheap)

i had an eventide dsp 4000 a few years ago, but i wasnt in a
good state of mind then so i sold it without having used it
on any tracks

i tried vsig over midi and listened to the advice of the guy
on muffwiggler who said the text based editor was better
than the visual one. BUT i didn't really get what to do. i
bet indeksical would be good at programming it.

next year when i get some cash together i'll either get an
h8000 or an upgraded h3000.

Anyone got a nord modular?they are quite cheap now. There's
a really good book for it

https://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~clark/nordmodularbook/nm_book_to
c.html

the prices on ebay are quite high at the moment.
i reckon you can get a nord modular for about £350 and the
keyboard version for £450 if you knock them down.

Dadoncky you asked about the thru 0 OSC so i recorded u some
here.

firstly just plain, then with with XFM being modulation by
an eveloped LFO, then adding modulation of the LFM, again
with an enveloped LFO. Very nice sound and musical, I'm
really pleased with it.

you da man. much better than the examples i found on yt.
some people really don't know how to get interesting stuff
out of their gear

Yeah i was a bit hesitant to buy it because there's pretty
much zero interesting dry examples and i was a bit concerned
that I wasn't hearing what it could actually do. Glad I took
the plunge though.

im still 2800 pounds in debt
but it's ok im paying it off every month with no problems
dont need people to buy my bandcamp stuff, thats going in a
separate kitty to put my stuff on tape or vinyl records
then ill borrow again next year and get the eventide once
ive paid off paypal

i mean a few people here bought my stuff recently after i
mentioned being in debt. im really grateful for that. but i
can manage the debt fine, i didnt mean to beg you guys for
money or anything like that. though i was happy to get money
for my music from anyone who wants to pay for it, it's
really flattering. does that make sense?

so far i did drums in ableton or korg gadget, but i found
the yamaha ry30 at my parents place, that was collecting
dust for the last 15 years. i never really used it and when
the battery died i lost any interest. about a year ago i
took it home, changed the battery and added a little
patchbay for banana cables that lets me bridge the fm chip
on a few places. i always want to dive into that thing, but
im too lazy these days

Ableton and korg gadget is me too for the most part. Gadget
sound great through the right compressor. I'm gonna make a
sequencer in Max that has the flexibility and generative
features I want.
