I prefer following the antics of his private life, but this
is quite sweet.

you've just reminded me, i've got episode 3 to watch,
thanks. i think it's kind of back to the KMKY style, you
never saw his private life there either really. very funny
so far tho

Yeah. KMKY was more theatrical though while this wants to be
a close to reality as possible. In that sense mid morning
matters was ace as well. Episode 3 was my fave so far.

Episode 3 was amazing, it's slowly growing in to top tier
partridge.

Yeah, either it’s getting better or it just takes time to
get into. Or both. The ending to episode two was great now I
think of it.

haha i know... biggest laugh for me was his forlorn look
after that "man in a dress" as he put it

yeah, most lol bits for me are the subtlest of things about
how Coogan says bits.. parts remind me of Day Today/Brass
Eye writing too, which the writers did really well emulating
and must have really appreciated to get right. It was a bit
jarring at first after the more realistic Mid Morning
Matters, but i notice that other people are needing
reminding that back in the 90s he shot someone live on air.
Plus he's kinda a different incarnation now, like he has
been for each new prog he's been in.

With those lips he reminded me of a spitting image puppet.

Well put, Steve.

Susannah Fielding needs more props too, her eye acting while
Alan talks is excellent.
