How was your 2018?

I’ll check that out, thanks!

People, I don’t think I’m expressing myself exactly how
I would like. I don’t think I’m an unreasonable person,
and certainly not a drama queen or conspiracy theorist. So
yeah I’m a tad surprised. I see I can’t get my message
accross, or that you simply don’t agree, but that’s all
I feel I’m getting back.

“Oh that’s wrong old school worries”. Basically you
don’t agree (Juliette) but are not bringing much to the
table for me to digest. So I guess we’ll just agree to
disagree and high five. The fact that the internet hasn’t
changed things and that this matter I’m discussing has
always existed to this degree is just not something I can
swallow.

Anyway, I probably appear as if I’m really worried and a
neurotic mess, bu I’m only talking about something I’ve
noticed and that scares me to the core. I have faith in
people though, and I desire a positive outlook on things.
Just chatting I guess.

Love you lot!

As for the loaded debate. I have no idea! I didn’t get
this from books or essays or podcasts or whatever. I
wasnhope even aware of the debate. These are my observations
and it’s possibly why I’m still typing! *lets go*

You see with you guys, because of what I’ve said I’m
already possibly categorised and put into a group of
“similarly minded” people. Well, whatever that group is:
fuck it! I don’t want to be a part of it. I don’t want
to be lazily defined as a person and put into boxes l. IMO
it’s wrong and it’s why I hate groups.

Ok fuuuuuck shut up russell fucking dust! :D

about the fact that i fucked out of the group abruptly.

well south park has created a generation of socially
isolated, politically neutralized intellectual cowards
terrified to take ideas seriously or join groups with common
interests, pre-emptively conditioned to despise the sense of
community they're desperately hungering for

Wow, how kind. I’ll not bother stating opinions here if
it’s to fucking judge me. I feel like I’m some holocaust
apologist. Also thanks for categorising me yet again. For
your info I know about four seasons of South Park and
haven’t watched it for a good 10 years. I don’t even
know why I’m justifying myself to you actually, but sure,
I’m what you said.

I gave an observation I made, I stuck my ground. Explained
myself politely, so why the need to be a prick about things?
I don’t want to be labelled by a group I’d be in. Sorry
that offends your intellect. Also nice one with the South
Park box! Christ.

Lastly, pamplemousse, what’s this bs about not having an
opinion or voice if you’re not part of a group? That
depends on the person. Ah yes the individual!

Anyways can we have an interlude of some sort, possibly
comical? I dunno, something! (Thanks in advance) :D

i think you guys are talking about different things. tony is
talking about being a part of the society and taking action
if you want to make a change and russell is talking about
not wanting to be tagged with a political view, ethicity,
religion etc. both are right imo

fleetmouse.
the politics of inevitability/eternity is something ive
listened to timothy snyder discuss a lot. its basically
saying that where liberal democracy has not been robust - it
slips from inevitability to eternity. the rise of inequality
(which you tried to 'teach' me about) is something i clearly
agree with snyder about - once again you decide to paint me
as someone who wouldnt know this, even tho im more aware of
snyders work (and the work of many others who describe a
similar situation) than you are.

snyder is saying that as liberal democracy begins to look
like it dosnt provide, or is a trap, or will not give you
the grand things it promised - peoples pyschology can be
twisted very easily from a state of inevitable progress to
eternal crisis. this has happened to you

putins propaganda networks offering platforms to people like
jason hickle with the words ENGINEERED INEQUALITY underneath
his disgusting face IS exactly the politics of eternity
that snyder warns us against
. that isnt my
interpretation. thats what snyder says. snyder makes it
perfectly clear that russia understands eternity and is
using voices like jason hickle as a means to export russias
neurosis - to help push our psychology from inevitable to
eternal.

when you thoughtlessly share news from questionable sources
like al jazeera and leftwing altmedia podcasts - ur being
eternal

when you talk about community and culture being eroded by
liberalism - u are being eternal

when you worship nostalgic characters like jeremy corbyn
without thinking if hes really a decent guy - you are being
eternal

eternal is a very bad thing to be - the book you are
supposed to be reading will make this very clear to you im
like SUPER sure and its crazy if you aint getting the
message

snyders work is not jason hickle or chomsky or
seymore hersh (who have all appeared on russian media to
help spread the eternal story)

I enjoy having a shrink (I’m the boss) but agree that
psychology as a moving and evolving “science” is
seriously lacking. Today if a psychiatrist isn’t working
for an insurance company they tend to over prescribe and
rely on numbing over anything else. It’s like something
started off pretty promisingly and then stagnated, slowly
giving in to the pharmaceutical industry.

Juliette btw I hope we’re cool! I understand what you told
me and don’t see you as “opposition”. To be honest
with you I was thinking about it today at the supermarket. I
just don’t want to upset anyone.

lol look at this fucking snowflake

big data student being made to think about the ethical
concerns pertaining to his field. truly orwellian.

seriously if you really are concerned about intellectual
integrity: do not ever listen to shitty reactionary sophists
like jordan peterson. they're the real problem. regardless
of one's political opinions, this kind of selfsatisfied
propaganda is a disgrace.

that's all i'll say on the subject; just... don't listen to
bullshit. this is indefensible.

i mean since we're talking orwell just check out this
fucking doublethink

leftist student doesn't like having to read book by
conservative, leftist student asks for content warning:
those snowflakes want to stay in their intellectual bubble,
they're the real fascists, they're ruining academia.
conservative student doesn't want to have to read book by
progressive bluehaired woman: academia is poisoned, this
book needs to be pulled off the reading list, join the
resistance.

this is bullshit. i was far too generous when i said
peterson and his ilk had genuine intellectual concerns. i
forgot. there's nothing more to be said on the subject and i
vow not to post more. jus' have a think for yourself.

I agree 100%, it is important for educators to expose young
minds to the moral issues in their fields, and especially to
provide the proper context to those issues so students won't
fall into the trap of dangerous ideology.

realise he was creating “men”. You know, “real men”.

At first I hated Jordan Peterson when he was assaulting

destroyed Sam Harris (a Nazi who literally supports
eugenics) on Sam Harris's podcast.

Other way around for me. The first time I came across him
somewhere he was making a valid point within whatever
context it was. So I looked him up and watched a few videos
and very quickly disliked him. Also destroying Sam Harris
doesn’t automatically make him a saint or sane person. I
like animals and so did Hitler (to stay with nazis) but i
wouldn’t use that in his defence.

I like animals too, but domesticated animals really should
be outlawed. Besides the fact of the exploitative
relationship between human and animal, domestication causes
an unfathomable amount environmental devastation. It
shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that Hitler owned a
number of dogs. (They were German Shepherds, the same breed
used by police forces today, perhaps not coincidentally.)
