I couldn't find the thread named for myself so am starting
one in your name.

Read anything good recently?

Have you seen the "perfect edition" of 20th Century Boys
that's started releasing? My vol 1 turned up the other day
and it's really nice so I'm going to get the rest.

Oh that looks interesting. I only have the first few volumes
so maybe hats where I’ll start over and finally read it.

About to start David Lynch’s recent semi-sort of-auto and
not-biography. Can’t recommend Chiisakobe enough. Surely
there’s scans out there somewhere, as it’s not been
published in English for reasons that elude me.

I've read the Lynch book, it's very interesting, quite a
unique way to do - each chapter is a straight biography (not
by him) and then his commentary on it and the events
covered.

Yeah I couldn’t help but check reviews. Apparently
sometimes the two chapters can be a little contradictory, is
that true? If so, sounds fun and totally Lynch.

Indeksical: check Tôkyô Kaido as well while you’re at
it. Both are by the guy who did Dragon Head, with a
radically new approach. Seems it’s also too highbrow or
slow paced for publishers in the US to release. Weird.

Not too many, sometimes Lynch will say something someone has
said is wrong, but it doesn't come off as being abrasive or
anything - it really is great for any fan of Lynch and his
work though.

He’s doing alright! We spoke recently and he was in good
spirits. Hopefully soon he’ll borrow an account like
Danza.

Indeksical, You absolutely must get Limbo and Inside on the
switch. Art. Play them in that order. Mate, this is pretty
much an order at this point.

i'm playing a lot of kerbal space program these days? it's
fun and there are tons of mods even tho the characters look
like uglier minions

i remember liking limbo enough but i don't remember much
about it! there was the spider

has anyone read jeff vandermeer? i read the
annihilation/authority/acceptance trilogy this year and i
loved it, it's very good at evoking wrongness

Limbo made me cry once I finished it. It’s art. I’m
close to finishing Inside now but keep delaying it.

You won’t get many responses regarding Jeff in this thread
no one checks I reckon. I’m going to look up Jeff
Vandermeer. Do you think I’m an inferior “faggot”
because I don’t know Jeff Vandermeer? I like typing
“Jeff Vandermeer”. Not because th typing is pleasant but
because when I hear it in my head it’s nice. Jeff
Vandermeer.

Reading that again was nice for the “Jeff Vandermeer”
bits.

Shrek Vandershlek.
