well i cant even keep 4 series of 12 push ups on alternate
days, as my shoulders have become weary once again, the last
time it happened i had to stop for a month for a kind of
feeling of dislocation i had. i am really that old?

Take the weight of the world off your shoulders, maybe?

My left shoulder dislocates. It's tear inducing. I feel for
ya.

I'm starting Aikido next week.

I wonder if its something like arthritis, you should get it
sorted at the doctors, you shouldn't be getting pain at your
age, your not even middle aged yet

how long have you been doing the pushups?

offline RussellDust on 2017-08-10 20:52 [#02527974]
Points: 15891 Status: Lurker

If you excersise then it's not a weak shoulder. So I can't
help you. Mine sort of comes out of joint once in a very
rare while, I don't need to jolt it back into place though,
I just wait a day and it gets back to normal. It's a unique
pain.

Seeing a doctor if it persists is the only advice I can give
you. Sometimes leaving "little things" like that for years
makes what was at the time a fixeable problem become a
chronic one.

i only started around april i think, after years of
inactivity, so its three months cos i had to stop for a
month for the problem i mentioned

go to the doctor because i'm a stupid.

yeah its best to be sure, if I had to guess I might think
that you have a very tiny tear in the muscles/injured
yourself slightly while doing pushups, you might have to
wait a while till it recovers before doing the exercise
again, however its deffo better to get a professional
opinion

Tuck your elbows in, tighten your core, tighten your ass.
If your elbows are too far out you'll fuck up your
shoulders.

i have the suspect i do something wrong, like keeping the
arms too open while i do the push ups, maybe it charges too
much weight on the shoulders, i too read on the internet of
the elbows but also that you have to keep the arms slighly
larger than your shoulders, like everybody do, which comes
more natural than keeping the arms tight near the body,

make sure you have good air.

and take lots of good deep breaths before and after ...and
stretch your arms above your head after each set ...don’t
let them get stiff...ooerr..

arms will ache. tis normal.

if you have dumbells, you can use the middle handle bits to
hold onto.

if you are putting your hands flat on the floor that can
take some getting used to.

you can also elevate your hands and upper body....by doing
the pushups from the bottom step of a stair case or a box.

you can also push up with your knees on thebreak through th
tiredness barrier.
floor not your toes.

offline freqy on 2017-08-11 16:15 [#02528082]

** wt? happened there.

*you can also push up with your knees on the floor not your
toes.

breaking through the tiredness barrier...take the pain..do
a few extra.
then in 48 hours later you should be able to do it a little
bit easier

thanks freqy, my hands are flat on the floor and no i wont
do the push ups w my knees on the floor like an 80 years old
:) i stop em until i come back from the sea and go to the
doc.

do not google your health related shit on the web, mates.
its a primary source of paranoia.
