Hope there's gonna be new tracks. Chances are slim though.

I haven't seen the video myself but there's one on youtube
with Aphex himself saying it's a bleep store.

quite an interesting interpretation of a countdown, may be
it's supposed to make u think about how time passes or
something
queues are exponential curve upward, seems faster as u get
closer ..
deadlines = step

perhaps it was delayed a bit because he found a bunch of
DATs he absolutely had to digitise and put on the store,
well thats my fantasy anyway

I like the synth work. It's got a Syro vibe to it. Nice
chilled out track.

Used to think it was shit,or at least boring. Actually it's
fucking amazing. How the fuck did he make this stuff? Must
have taken weeks of fucking about in complicated patches in
maxmsp, supercollider, cdp, metasynth, and so on.

I remember saying to joyrex on joyrex.com that it was a
good track and he just didn't like it at all. I haven't
really listened to it since. At the time I had no idea about
making music. Now I can hear things like the FM work, I
don't really get FM at all,but aphex is the FM fucking
master. He knows how to get really acidic type of lines
going on in FM.

stuff like we've heard at field day, he has my money. also
if he sells his old stuff, im making myself a super present
and buy everything from 2014 backwards

plenty of aphex music flew over my head at the first time i
heard it, for not being set up to feel the music and ready
to understand the dance background of it, never honestly
made a thought about the way it is done.

I didnt like the harder tracks myself to begin with, its
funny how your tastes change, i didnt get stuff like blue
calx at all as well, now i cant describe how much i lie it

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2017-07-20 00:00 [#02525365]
Points: 31139 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

likewise on the harder tracks, blue calx is a perfect
example of disorienting at the first time and a grower
later. clearly unfit for the sacrality of aphex's ambient
act when i first got the internet, strangely expecting
overwhelming rhythms after the mtv days, thought that blue
calx was boring or something
