Great thread. You really should tell everyone in the
Facebook group about it.

Sweet and Sour Pot Noodle is the best.

No they don't have it. But I grew up in England and lived on
the pots of glue and string for at least a couple of years.
How I didn't get scurvy is a real wonder. I guess that's
what the dried peas and carrots are for.

Yeah its a bit like astronaut food, i think it has zero
nutritional value, it is tasty though

My worry is the smell of the plastic. What you smell, you
eat.

I do buy some from time to time. Nissin stuff, but nah, I
don't think there's much positivity about it bar for
truckers and people on the go.

People need to cook, even the lonely ones.

Not even necessarily cook, but prepare.

yes i do cook most nights of the week, you can beat a well
cooked meal, pot noodles are for moments of desperate
hunger, or when you really cant be bothered,

Sure.

Cooking, preparing is good for the soul. Though when alone
often I find it easier to eat if I make something quick;
cooking for others is more rewarding. If i spend too much
time cooking for myself, I lose my appetite, possibly
because of depression.

To cook? Mmm... tough one. I don't know. I enjoy making
soups. Slow cooked pasta sauces, gratins.

I love eating my special mash, but I don't enjoy preparing
it.

A cozy fucking salad, that's nice also. With lots off
ingredients.

Fish.

i like pasta a lot, one of my snacks is some tagliatelle
with a small amount of butter mixed in and peppered, very
simple but tasty

Just home made mashed veg, mostly potatoes and sweet
potatoes, garlic, carrots, various fresh herbs, butter, a
tiny bit of milk. Depending on the mood of the day I'll add
other veg, but not always.

those masher things.

we sound like a right old pair of bigots hehe

there is some theory i cant remember the name, that is
something like the climate people live in informs their
personality in a general way, the hotter places are the
quicker to anger or something like that

Climate and inbreeding I think.

Pot Noodle is a great track on The Black Dog's "Spanners".
