Is it my speakers or "Produk 29" has a loud bassline, (I
mean louder than loud)?

Enjoyable but inevitably underwhelming on first listen, but
then I didn't care much for Analord and I'm stupid.

The last track will probably have been on a thousand BBC
adverts by this time next year

I'll be hearing this next Thursday due to holiday, but no
problem: I probably not going to like it, afx is so
overrated imo.

The first time around I thought Circlont6a stood out more
than the others, maybe because it was more immediate; Second
time was even better and the third just now was almost
transcendent

about 4 mins in has very similar baseline to Acid Whorl by
ceephax, also alot of dry sounding ceephax chords in that
track

this is all about a contract to warp. 10 years of outtakes
and now nobody cares.

we have all changed and we all like other music now.

awful. 10 yrs ago maybe.

this is the first and last time i apologise. it's dated and
i want to listen to something else.

Syro sounds like a compilation of tunes fanboys wanted after
hearing them live and talking about them endlessly on WATMM
(naming them "the Manchester track", "the Metz track", "the
Singapore track", "the Barbican piano track"), rather than a
proper album.

So fanboys should be happy to finally get what they wanted.
And if they don't like Syro, they should blame themselves.

never heard a piano track composed by Chopin, Ravel or
whoever before.

The two CYCLONT tracks (6 and 8) are very good. Tracks 9 and
11 are good as well. I also like 4 bit 9D (track 4) and
Minipops (track1).

People who say they liked "old AFX" and now bash this album
after only 1 or 2 listenings must be very pretentious. Every
AFX album requires time, I mean at list a few days.

The rythmic part at the very end of CYCLONT14 (6:35) is very
interesting as well. That's what catched my attention on
this song at first listen.

Tracks 5 and 10 (180db_ and PAPAT4) sound a bit cheesy,
maybe, with their simple melodies and their straight
rhythms. Stuff to play out, probably.

i think XMAS_EVET10 is a proper braindance track - starting
out kinda boring and ending up in a different dimension

Three really good tracks on Syro.

But isn't that how most real albums are?
Richard has some great success with Drukqs and most of all
the tracks on it were amazing.

listened with the lights out, really liked it : )

I love the many style's. no one else seems to come anywhere
near Mr james,,

*Weird ...whilst listening to the last song, I thought to
ask you guys if Richard ever played a piano on stage live?

Then I just remembered the swinging piano video from a few
years ago...and hey, its the last track on syro,..

You prob already said this somewhere in the threads; but
here's the last song on syro (swinging piano video)
syro-Aisatsana
