google search surly must be the most visited page in the
Internet?
why don't they advertise for a few days, make millions and
millions and give to the starving and help children with
health problems .?

People should invest a lot of time and effort in writing
about this abomination to Google. Instead of wasting their
time on useless things like writing for Amnesty to the
Chinese government to demand to let dissidents free, for
instance.

indeed.

there's also some other google search layout which you can
make your default by following these instructions:
LAZY_TITLE
this should ease your woes a little.

Pulseclock, I don't like your avatar. :(

Well, I like it deep down, but my brain or eyes don't like
it.

Although I don't see the point in this fade-in thing, I
don't actually care about it - if you wanted to use one of
the other links, you were most probably going to move your
mouse, anyway.

When I first saw it, I was confused as to where the other
links were - then I moved the mouse. I didn't surge to a
forum to announce my discontent about something I could
solve by a mouse movement that I was going to do in the
first place.

they need to fix their porn detection algorithms :D

i hadnt seen it since i use keywords to search google.

seems fairly innocuous to me. it's just google further
minimalizing their interface, which from the beginning has
been one of the drawing points (versus say a yahoo.com
homepage, yech).

This said, I tried Bing for one search and was straight back
to Google after Bing offered me as first choice in the
predictive whatever "two girls one cup" as soon as I'd
tapped in "two"... though to be fair I was looking for that.

Bing's only crime is knowing us too well.

While Bing seems to believe us all those of perverse
pursuits, Google seems to read us as severely depressed and
desperate people, wishing for an end, a beginning or a disease.

The end or beginning I understand, but I was caught off
guard by the idea of a person wanting anorexia.

In my mind's eye, I see the same person who wants to die,
wanting the baby and anorexia. It's a self-contained Jeremy
Kylemma.

This is true, sadly. But it was the phrasing that got me. A
bit like a person wanting a shaved head asking for chemo.
:D

Descent: "On today's show, we'll figure out what it's like
to search for "google" on bing."
