"asshole central" though.

Let me tell you a secret, everything you hate about America
is derived from Rush Limbaugh . He has set the tone for this
new administration. He also formulated, which was quite
genius, the attack on the left in this country over the
Clinton years. The Bush administration, (I wouldn't be
surprised), probably goes to him secretly on what to do
next. Especially in the PR department. This is a long
standing fued between the left and right ever since the
Vietnam war. The politics in this country isn't about what
the people want. It's what do my investors want and what do
the other party want so I can do the opposite.

Now that the right control almost everything it's starting
to seem like less of a fued and more like a take over.

The capitalist paradigm is intrinsic to the American psyche.
I'm guessing that this is probably more of what you hate
than anything.
I can't believe it's rednecks cause they are so out of the
equation it's ridiculous.

"they are, generally incredibly stupid -- there is an
overwhelming majority of idiots who just sit
around, get fat, and believe everything their TV tells
them. "

"What I have a problem with is this overwhelming majority of
IDIOTS, the sort of people who say speaking out against a
government is unpatriotic"

"I believe that something as ill-concieved and pathetic as
this could only come out of America, where the #1 reason you
are alive is to MAKE MONEY."

In other words: apathy, blind nationalism and materialism.
Isn't this a problem in all countries? Also, have you
considered why the average American is unconcerned about
international affairs? Think about the size and makeup of
this country. 1/3rd of the North American continent broken
up into 49 separate independantly functioning states all
possessing their own unique identity and culture. Plus,
we're physically isolated from the rest of the world. It's
like Europe is a village where everybody knows each other
while America is a remote apartment tower.

Yes.. you've articulated something very precisely there.
That is certainly one of things i hate the most about
American society, along with the passionate... *proudness*
of their gun laws.. and other things.

people seem to think that because we currently have a
shitty, fucked up leader that the life of the average
amercian has changed... the truth is that our lives are
exactly the same as they were when clinton was in power and
thats pretty damn good. the only thing that has changed is
how people perceive us internationally. i get to go to
school, live in a nice place in a great city with a nice
view, plenty of booze, plenty of chicks and freedom of
speech. thats the beauty of this country, all hell can be
breaking loose on the the other side of the world and its
still sunny and great here. same thing can be said for
crisis within our own country; the day the world trade
center was destroyed the west coast paused...and then got
back to life with out a flinch. so in the end be proud of
where youre from and dont hate on other countries, because
when u do it sounds more like envy than hate.

yeah, and it'd probably be referred to in the same way about
everyone. like, if there was a new law in norway that you

take too long to go "stupid john, peter, mary, polly,
ingrid, james, gary, sally [...]"

its harder to take something back after it's been given.
this "freedom" exacerbates a more prevelent problem across
the globe.

waste gluttony and things like greed are taught to the west
as a means of life. when will we open our eyes?

its strange for me. i live and breath the capitalist air,
share some of the same ideas and passions(as i'm sure most
people do).

people are people. i doubt its fair to judge others or make
such harsh generalizations.

besides, the cards were probably made in taiwan.... now
there's something to think about

well the Americans that I know personally (from this board
and outside) are great, NO! they're dreamy.

but then there's also the Bush administration and it must've
gotten there somehow. in fact, although as mr. Shope said a
lot of Americans said "NO!" to Bush during the last
election, the same Bush wiped his arse with the election
before that and took to power anyway.

that he got away with that, does amaze me - how
basically the American people let Bush get away with it.

oh well. too late now.

most americans are to blame. whether you voted for bush or
if you didn't vote at all, you are equally to blame. most
americans by far chose one of those options. therefore, the
overwhelming majority of americans are at fault. i don't
think they're all stupid, though. one percent of them stood
to benefit financially - those people are greedy assholes;
many of these people are incredibly apathetic and/or
ignorant. the rest are definitely idiots.

but do most americans even realize that they have no
control, no rights anymore
? i doubt it. this aspect
isn't totally the fault of the hopelessly oblivious - a lot
of trouble goes into lying to americans all day, every day.

case in point, a dramatic conclusion to another critical
right: we have no freedom of press.

yeah, a different point of view - of course that's what it
is. and it's been my contention that the majority of people
who share this view don't know fuck all about what they are
buying into. by and large, they are ignorant people. read
the definition of ignorant right now if you are unsure what
that means. don't forget - the nazis were a political

Were you around when the World Trade Center buildings fell?

I'd just like to comment on an electronic messageboard about
American stupidity.

The only real stupidity in America is the result of a bad
economy and poor-parenting. Public education is horrible.
Most alternative or affordable universities are more like
bath-houses. Most children aren't interested in history or
current international affairs, so libraries and schools are
really just institutions to keep kids in a place day-to-day
while their parents struggle to maintain their salary which
is becoming increasingly difficult due to the failing
economy due to the overspending of the government. So much
is wrong with this country and everyone expects the people
of the U.S. to be harvard graduates.

So much could be solved by simply reading a book.
