I just watched the urutsokidoji series a couple weeks ago.
It was pretty fucked up, but I couldn't stop watching it
once I started. I would give it a full suggestion if you
don't mind watching women raped every ten minutes, and then
torn apart by demons. If that disturbs you, then you should
stay away.

Yeah. Its kind of something you need to know about. I
couldn't not watch it, it was kind of like watching a really
bad accident slow motion in a ping pong loop.

shit. Great for a laugh though.

It's.. a bit bland, imo.

Thats the film, which sucked. It was made first after the
mangas, but couldn't possibly fit the whole storyline in. So
they made a series afterwards. Which is what I have now.

strange but still good. Also check this out -

The only anime that I like are relatively ancient. The rest
that I've seen are too juvenile. I'm old.

The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?
(Long fucking title there.) - 4/5

-As a movie, it does well I think. Not very corny and avoids
a lot of the Japanese weirdness that is prevalent in anime.
The story is a good encapsulation of the TV series. Good
animation, good story. Don't need much after that.

Akira - 4/5

-Visually impressive with a good story.

Robotech TV series - 3.5/5

-Stitched together from various Japanese cartoons. i
remember wacthing this show before going to grade school in
the morning. I think it was the first cartoon series to show
people die. Or at least more than hint at it.

In Macross there is an advertisement on a bus stop for Aphex
Twin Selected Ambient works Vol 27 or something crazy like
that

I thought I would collect the series on DVD, but as I found
out with the first boxset I purchased that 1) It's fucking
expensive! 2) nostalgia is best left as memories.

I think you're thinking of Macross Plus.

Do You Remember Love was made before any Selected Ambient
Works was put out. I think. I'm probably wrong. I know there
was a subliminal image of a missile turning into a beer can,
though.

Design: ABE Yoshitoshi
Script: Konaka Chiaki

Yes, people, your eyes are not decieving you; those two are

And it's a 22 episode series, too.

Allright, thanks.

Though, I've heard it's a slow-starter (so don't give up
after the first five minutes); for instance there's no
dialogue in the first episode, and such.
