I pride myself on using perfect punctuation, grammar,
spelling, etc. When I fuck up, I really start wanting an
''edit your post'' feature, I can't STAND having a spelling
mistake in my posts! Argghhghghg!!!

As for dialect... I don't know about HATING the way anyone
types on here, but I know what I like... Wooferattack!
''Make me know!'' :-)

I can't cope with the sheepshagger's dialect here. I cast
off my vulgar Welsh speak when i moved to England.

I can tell by the way you type Jonesy, that you went to a
'good catholic' school!

;)

Yeah I hate it too, I make it a point when I text message
people or chat on IM not to abbreviate...it shows that i'm
not lazy or at least have the respect to take the time

Actually, I type like shit on Instant Messengers, mostly
because you're trying to keep up with a few conversations.
But on messageboards, I have to be perfect!

*checks and RE-checks message, tentatively clicks reply...

So, are you guys saying you dont like misspellings or you
don't like the misuse of words and poor grammar?

I misspell stuff all the time.

My mum used to have a go at me all the time when I came home
from school for dropping letters and prenunciations on
words. Well what did she expect, sending me to chool in
Bally?

Actually, I've decided people's grammar here isn't too bad,
not like this.

Misspelling isn't so bad, it's when poor grammar completely
changes the meaning of what you're saying...

actually ophecks, i'm not too bothered about typos's, its
more the abbreviations like 'R U GOING OUT?'

you know, AOL speak =)

I may try to type full words on IM's, but I type too fast
and type like a gimp

confuses me

Generally it's "I study english". Sometimes, if you want to
sound pretentious (you might get away with it if you go to
oxford, cambridge or harvard) you can say "I'm reading
English" which means you're studying it at university.

yeah my dictionary says'to read english', but it sounds so
ridiculous and i don't think most people would understand
and ask 'what book?' , you know.
thanks for clearing it up, ceri

It's no wonder the kids talk like 4 year olds with
illiterate saps like these sorry cases as role models.

Sadly, whilst the use of flash is good, they couldn't stop
the band being allowed to write stuff from messing it up...
