Dreams are random ignitions of active neurons, which was
most active during day. Its my hypothesis. When you dream
you are not completly turned off (some off neurones is still
active). And if you managed to remember your dream this
means that random neuron activity gived you impresion, and
result is new network of neurons which wired in compact
package for remembering dream. And also dreams means you
sleeped not deeply, and also it meens that you maybe dreamed
in the morning.
Beloved - dream on

Are dreams there for a reason, or are they a 'glitch' in the
human nervous system?

Tell me your thoughts on this.

do you think that the brain intereprets things symbolically
in dreams to educe the emotional shock that could be felt if
the situation represented in the dream was shown in the most
realistic way possible?

Your question realy is "is reality here for reason?" Becouse
all neuron system in your brain reflects your reality
including dream neuron packeges which can change other
neuron network creation procedures, dream also is factor for
understanding evrything.

Sry Tractern you completly out of topic. We drowning in
philosophy again. But if you want we can discus further.

my dream this morning when i slept until early afternoon:
there is a plot. people are killed by a ghost or presence
then dangled from the ceiling as a small pod of plastic with
there face (drawn in felt tips) as a representation of them.
on the plastic pod is written things but all i could read
was GOLDEN BOY. in one scene of this dream there is this man
talking about the death of a friend. as he motions his hand
to suggest the brains being shot out of his friends head -
brains fly out of his head. they look fantastically
detailed. so red and brainy. the cam angle cuts to a tv
behind him and from the screen extends a hand pointing a gun
at his head. this hand is the ghost and has just shot his
head apart. he is now a plastic pod (about the size of a
head) suspended from the ceiling. on the plastic side reads
FUCK YOU GOLDEN BOY! and lots of japanese characters. this
is a small part of a huge dream that seems to last a week.
in it were many many things and most of them are too horrid
to completely recall.

I had this dream where I was in a medieval castle and I was
with two of my friends and there were chambers underground
filled with naked women so Me and one of the friends went
down into one chamber and I said have a good time then left
and came back All of the women were all passed/exhausted and
my friend was chilling out with a cigar in his mouth...when
he left the room a one of the girl came to me and said "he
should come back he's HUGE" hahahaha

Man i just had the most awesome dream. A whole story
unfolded in my dream, rejuvenated my creativity and sense of
consciense. I have drawn out all the characters from it that
i remember or vaguely can put together. One in particular,
'Adivad' or Adivada or Davida, something along those lines,
a young psychic girl who gets betrayed by these in depth
characters for a jewel heist, but before they are all on a
journey together to escape this secret dungeon. She dies at
the end but leaves an important message.

It's like an ancient story that i was lucky enough to put
together in my head while asleep. Thank you. I will be doing
some sort of art related project for this, and maybe post it
soon.

I dreamt that I had sex with a giraffe. But when I woke up,
it turns out I was fucking my own grandmother in real
life!!!

WHY YOU SEX ME???
WHY YOU SEX ME???
WHY THE YOU ARE SEXING ME?!?!?!

But then it turned out that I wasn't fucking my grandmother.
It was actually a giraffe I was in. Another giraffe.

I, am a giraffe.

Also, retaining consciousness throughout sleep will help one
realize that everything is nothing.

Looking at one's hands helps stay in a lucid dream.

Ahaha, no... But I did just wake up. Around 5 PM.

I'm hungry and thirsty... so I gotta walk to the market to

to the $10~$20 equivalent pre-cooked pizza)

7:40 PM, and I'm deciding what to eat for breakfast.

I had this strange dream where i was watching Jay-Z perform
live in a tropical setting from a balcony seat, and the
whole balcony platform fell through and caused us to be
transported back to land on a bus which veered off the side
of a bridge.

Then the busdriver lady said, "Well, this is it. Ain't gonna
be much else."

Then for some reason i couldn't comprehend a horrible death
so bad so i just drifted off into other thoughts while
hopign i wouldn't feel the physical pain of dying. It
somehow worked, but it was just a dream.

I've been having vivd dreams lately.

I had a dream this morning in which I made me cousin cry. I
got annoyed when he cried, cos I always thought it was for
such a small reason that he made such a fuss, and I always
got into trouble for it when we were little.

I woke up this morning really unhappy, too. But I think that
was cos I had to put money on the leccy metre, which is
always my job, no one else bloomin does it...

Here is one I just had, just woke up from.

I am on this campus and these students have started this
project where each group of two or more goes around to
various teachers to ask them what is the worst thing they
would do for them or let them do (cheat on a test, give them
a better grade, let them skip class, etc.) Based on which
teacher gives the best one each student or small group then
chooses which one they will give this notebook filled with
paper to. The notebook was navy blue and had a gold
embossed logo of either the school or some fraternal group,
and I'm not sure what was in it or what it did for the
teacher.

So I remember this one group go up to a certain teacher who
seemed like he'd be hip to the students, and they say
well, Mr. so-and-so, what would you do for one of these
books
. He says, well I would do this-and-this (can't
remember what it was), and so they go, oh wow, that is
real bad, you can get fired right away for that, ok you are
it.

So then they are ready for each group to publicly call out
each teacher's name, and they all lay out their books in
front of them in the middle of this hall (as in a school
hall with classrooms). The first group goes and they call
out the teacher I mentioned above. Well, this lady who it
seemed was the dean or principal, was in the hall too. She
says Mr. so-and-so you are involved in all this? Well,
you're fired.
The tone gets very solemn and somber,
the students collect up the books, the ceremony/activity is
over.

offline glasse from Harrisburg (United States) on 2010-01-11 08:51 [#02358456]

So later on a bunch of students have met for some
extra-curricular type group and I am there too. The teacher
leading the group asks what we thought of what happened
earlier. People start raising their hands, and for the most
part disagree with what happened, the teacher getting fired.
As this is happening I have a really good point, so I raise
my hand. Others have their hands raised too, and they are
called on first. This happens a couple times, so I put my
hand down and wait, assuming she acknowledged me and will
call on me in a minute. Well someone else raises their hand
and she calls on them, so I am like hey, I had my hand
up I know you saw, my arm was just getting tired so I put it
down
. She says something like, you are not a kid you
can wait, and then the group takes a break and the teacher
walks to her desk, I follow.

I say c'mon now I had a pretty good idea, so she says ok,
what is your idea. I say, here is the thing, Mr. so-and -so
was just the first to be called on, and pretty much got
fired for being the first. The students collected up the
books and every other teacher got off scot free. To be
fair, the dean needed to say stop, collect each book and see
who all was involved, and fire every teacher that
was. She kind of nods to herself, processing it in her
head, and says you know, that is actually a good point,
one we could use
. I look at her and say, I can say
without ego it is the best argument you have so far
.

That is where I woke up. Don't know what it means, if it
means anything, but it was a very vivid and somewhat
interesting dream so thought I would share.

fired

Dreaming that someone is fired from a job can represent:

* A phase being ended in your life (in a way that's out
of your control)
* Abandonment
* Feeling that someone is failing to support an
agreement with you
* Fear of a particular change in your life, especially
one that is out of your control
* The idea of being fired from your actual job is on
your mind right now

Everyone was shipped onto these boats until it was over. as
the boats left the harbour, they all launched these massive
nuclear bombs, the site of which made me feel physically
sick. We were out at sea for days aimlessly drifting in a
fog, no one talking, everyone looking over the side of the
boat.

eventually everyone was taken back to land. the landscape
had changed. everything was now inside, in an endless series
of interlinked rooms, all painted in garish colours with
demented slanty walls yet suprisingly normal furnishings. no
one trusted anyone anymore, everyone was evading this one
guy, but no one knew who he was. we had worked out a system
to get rid of him, but he was always catching up with us.

*I woke up feeling physically sick. really horrible dream.
ugh.. :(

i just had one of the trippiest dreams i remember.
i woke up way too early with a dream that took place in a
fantasy world in the woods with sexy amazons etc in which i
had a little influence. i stayed up a few hours after that
until i was tired and went to sleep again. this time i knew
i was dreaming right from the start. the place i was in
turned into other places rapidly and i found myself floating
around a road, various rooms and a beach resort. i could
steer my direction
but also got tossed and pushed a bit by an unknown force.
along the way i could create and morph human bodies
out of nothing. i was also hearing music, a bit of legowelt
i listened to right before falling asleep.
then i heard a short piece of spacey soundcollages ive been
working on a few weeks ago and all forms decayed
and i was in a realm of blurry colorful mess. i could touch
the fluid fabric it was made of and make ripples and so
in it like it was water or fluid paint. i had great fun
doing this for a while, when i suddenly felt the need to
listen to
hendrix in my dreamworld. so i tried to wake up so i can
play some songs by him and dream on (this made reason while
dreaming:) but it turned out to be more difficult and i lost
control. i thought i was awake again and fiddled around with
all sorts of cables an ipod and mp3 player.
there was also a device that looked like a small
coin-videogame machine with a large screen that had a
browser which had detailed artwork of anime or videogame
characters and items that represented the songs on it
instead of a file list. while i could do almost anyhting in
my dream it was impossible to simply put on my i-pod and
play the music i wanted to. i figured out again i was still
dreaming sometime then and tried to wake up so i did.
ive been trying to take control of my dreams a few months
ago by doing the hand-trick. you watch your hands while
awake and tell your mind "im awake". this would help
question if your dreamworld is real then. controlling dreams
is amazing fun!

i had this dream the other week

i killed some one in the dream with a knife stabbing the guy
some times and then in the heart i felt bad when waking
up.it was hard to do it in the dream to stab and kill the
guy.i think it was in self defence though.
