I'm sorry, I really hope you enjoy your gun, and may
she give you many years of pleasure shooting the
shit out of crap n' stuff.

dog_belch, thanks. Glad to see you are exiting this thread,
and I will take your last post with a higher regard. Sorry
you can't gain a better perspective from one's point of
view, but that's neither here-nor-there.

I'll try and refrain from mocking or discriminating any of
your personal hobbies, interests, or likes in the future if
I shall ever come across them.

good day.

hepbrnenthrope? don't bother then, get out of the thread
because you are only driving the post count up.

back on topic :)

cant really argue with elusive its pointless, he is in fact,
american. -stereotypes aside, some of them arent that bad-

but they did grow up watching gun totin' war fightin'
charismatic violent pride on television as kids. -which most
ppl with a tv will do, but americans moreso.

its a mentality that cant be reasoned with, its like
smoking, for those of you that do.

we should end this bickering here and let elusive talk about
guns with the few members that do too.

Yours is a voice of reason in a cacophany of witless, gun
totting bollocks and faux, disingenuous outrage at the fact
that some people might take issue with their innocent
"hobby".

Gwely, no I didn't grow up like that at all.

You are calling me an american, and being stereotypical.
But guess what? You just stereotyped me and think you know
my whole fukcing childhood.

Hah! Intelligence at it's finest.

Just because I own a gun now, doesn't mean squat.

Sigh, I don't even know what to say.

Guns do kill people. So what, so do thousands of car
accidents every day.

We could go off on a tangent, but let's not....and leave it
at that.

Gwely, for how bad you talk about yourself in your other
thread(s), you sure are stepping up to the plate on this one
and pretending to know more than you could possible handle.

I like how many people on this board seem to know (by a
users posts on the message board) exactely how the person
grew up, what he believes in, and how he is in real life.

OMG WELCOME TO INTERNET!

realize that i am possibly or most likely wrong, and the

If you are "rarely" serious, then why shit on my threads
where I am trying to start a topic?

I understand it's all in good fun.

Maybe I shouldn't have taken your little "emotional
breakdown" thread as serious as I should have.

well as michael moore pointed out it's not the fact that
many americans have guns that people get shot, since
everybody in swiss has a gun too, it's the fact that they
use it to shoot people
pistolwhip or bat the burglar down, i hope you will

fyi: Michael Moore is a member of the NRA.

I dont own a gun, but I have fired them before. Its quite
exhilirating and it relieves a lot of stress. Its also takes
skill to accquire accuracy, especially with a handgun.

Also what about self defense? If some fuck breaks into your
house, I say shoot em. Theres no telling what some loony
theif will do to you or your family.

Personally, I'm more of a knife guy. So I'll try my best to
stab some vital organs or a jugular. But what if the crimal
has a gun? Then my knife is kinda useless eh?

nono, i just saw some irony in that where your from line
going together with your post
moral story: if everybody has guns to shoot people who have
guns it's all going to hell. i cant blame you though, you
didnt start it.
it was what michael moore examined with bowling for
columbine. his answer: fear bred by the media. that cant be
just it i think
michael moore being a member of the nra is bad irony

indeed. Thanks for clearing that up. Yes it will goto hell
if that happens. The problem is: YOU CANT GET RID OF GUNS.

I'm for better gun control, and making it harder to obtain a
gun. I think we have a 3 day waiting period for background
checks, (which is good) but its still possible to obtain
black market guns. But if the guns are originally
manufactured with safety devices (like thumbprint lock that
only activates for the owner) than that would be even
better.

:)
well gun control might be a start for getting rid of them or
most of them
i dont see that safety measure really work. can it
technically? and wouldnt it be easy to dodge, to get a gun
with that device on the black market. also there are still
tons of weapons without it out there. also how would it be
enforced? who can get a weapon and who not? why would it be
different from now....

the problem really is that too many people dont want to get
rid of guns.. right?

True, but there are lots of people who are responsible with
guns and want to keep them. Yeah, some have them just as a
hobby, other have them for fear. But then theres the
military's need for weapons. And no military is stupid
enough to get rid of their guns.
Then theres the argument to protect your freedom. As long as
you do not bring harm to any person, then you should be
allowed to do what you want. Including owning a gun. Also
what happens when your own government/army, comes after you?
Then how to we fight back?

Just ideas I'm throwing around.

k
the military i do trust with guns. also the military
shouldnt be having tea with the enemy to solve things
the mentallity of having a gun to protect yourself is the
core of the problem it think. it means you'll use it when
threatend so the burglars pack too, etc.
the mentallity of america stands for freedom so i can have
guns i dont respect (i know you're quoting). and it got all
screwed up from there to having the gun to protect yourself
because the media say the world is bad etc.
i wonder if more people have been getting guns since 9/11,
im pretty sure they have. that leads to and is part of the
national agressive politics. see iraq and see even kery
being tough saying he can protect the country

Well yeah, but what happens when say the American govt. owns
all the weapons, and civilians have absolutely nothing? I
think I like the fact that the Govt. cant rely on brute
force to keep people in check. Because really, its the
common man who should be in control, not the military or the
people in the white house. I want the white house to be in
fear of the fact that we can revolt any time we want to. I
think it'll make them think twice before going against the
voice of the people.

Another reason why I dont really mind a monarchy. Cuz back
in the day, if the King didn't do anything right, we could
serve him in the guillotine. Which is awesome!

But I do prefer a TOTAL DEMOCRACY, which America IS NOT!!!
