mohan: is thata jeremy davies (that prono guy) dressed as
super mario?
archrival: good to find you still alive!
and DJ shadow was good enough live when i saw him, but iwas
dissapointed when he just put high noon on at the end as a
track and not live, it pissed me off so much

i just laughed my ass off. i downloaded this supposed fluke
track "mutual slump" off soulseek (it's not really on the
album) and it's just a mislabeled dj shadow "mutual slump."
i know most of you will take my word for this (and if you
don't, download both and compare, it's exactly the same
song), but to Amonbrune who's already rebuked this when i
mentioned it as possibility, let me put it this way: i've
heard the many songs shadow sampled to create this song
(including the one he used for the drums in the beginning,
the one for the guitar riff, and of course bjork's "possibly
maybe" for the keyboard riff) and i really, really doubt
fluke and dj shadow would construct their supposedly
separate (but same titled) songs with the same samples in
the exact same sequence and structure. i'm sorry but that is
so unlikely that i'd just say it's impossible. this is just
a case of someone playing a joke on the public by
intentionally naming a dj shadow song as by fluke. it's
about as much as a hoax as "outside kick ass violin solo" by
aphex twin.

yeah, that was my guess titsworth...
if mp3 tags were always true...then aphex twin would have
remixed pretty much every electronic artist under the sun..
and would have collaborated with all the rest..
and why on earth would dj shadow rip someone like fluke off?
i bet he hasnt even heard them

yeah,

I looked up fluke on allmusic.com and I have found no record
of a fluke track called mutual slump.

I also looked up the track name, and it only came up for Dj
Shadow.

I think that the track was mislabeled like Titsworth said.

and Dj Shadow didnt rip anyone off

someone's bad humor :( its just that when you dl something
not knowing and something like this comes up, its a bit
akward. Thanks Titsworth for that...appreciated. Sorry to
everyone else for this meaningless thread ... :/
