I know a lot of you have got an original Fairlight CMI stashed away in the corner of your rooms. What I am looking for is a sample of the "OOHH" sound as used in a lot of songs made in the 1980s. I don't want Orchestral stabs, Gunshots, dodgy world instruments... I'd like the "OOHH" and, possibly, the "AAHH". There are some floating on the internet but they're some duffer playing a few notes, and I just want the one so I can maybe in turn SAMPLE it myself (you see how I'm getting the hang of this 30 year old technology) and having my own BUDGET Fairlight. That just plays OOHHs and AAHHs. I am trying to recreate the 80s so as to DESTROY the 00s. |

I think the 80s have been recreated enough. Your not going to recapture it with a few fairlight samples. Try some prophet with a little dx7. |

you know a good way to make ooh and aaah pads is actually singing OOOOOOOOH and AAAAAAH, finding the loop points so you can play them als long as you want and then start layering them. |
