i think there is no such thing as paranormal. everything paranormal is "normal" except we stupid human reptile brains can not figure them out. but i´ve been into lots of crazy shit, yeah. |

I know, but ghosts and magic can't be explained by the natural laws and logic thinking is based on those laws. In fact most people are more in connection with the spiritworld when they're not thinking logical(meditation) then when they are, as far as I know. So I think logic can never explain the paranormal. |

I love the paranormal, and I hope ghosts and whatnot are real... but I've yet to experience anything very paranormal... I thought I saw a ghost in the cemetary on the hill behind my house, but maybe I was just being paranoid. I love that scary stuff, though. |

It was really misty out, that kind of mist that floats above ground. It obscured most of the graves. But there was this one grave with this ball of mist floating around behind it, and I couldn't believe my eyes. I looked away to look at the path back to my house, I'm always kind of paranoid that there'll be someone on the path ready to kill me. :-) Anyway, I turn back around, and the ball of mist is behind a different grave, closer to me. It was certainly strange looking, kind of illuminated, kind of greenish, and I swear if you looked hard enough the lines in the mist could have formed a face or something if you used your imagination. I don't know, but it had some design, I can't explain. It wasn't just blank. So I was freaked out, turned around to look at the path, looked back really quick, and the mist was in the open, REALLY close. I was fucking terrified, I didn't know what to think, I just took off down the path, branches were slapping my face, stung like crazy. I don't know what I saw, but it was strange... I'm skeptical, but that was a scary experience. This was a few years ago, coming back from my buddies house, which was in another neighbourhood. The cemetary is a shortcut. |

Ophecks: that was a great story Maybe you could find out whose ghost it might have been by visiting the first grave where you say the ball of mist was floating behind... |

I did that, I always notice that grave every time I walk past it. It's a woman, ''A. Gillis'', 1940ish to 1960-something. A few days after that ghost shit, I saw a tube of lipstick on the grave. Dunno what that means, but it was interesting. Since then... nothing. Nothing paranormal ever since. :-( |

thats crazy man... before i was born, when my sister was really little, my family lived in a different house...my sister saw 3 'ghosts', and 2 of them were different...the first time she saw a guy that looked like a basketball player in the backyard, well thats how she described it to my mom, second time, she saw a lady in a red dress waling up the stairs, she thought it was my mom, so she kept saying mom, and the lady wouldnt look back. the tird time was the same lady in like a spare bedroom for when guests come, and there was a desk with a mirror, and the lady was looking in the mirror putting make up on at least, thats what i was told =) |

I would like to believe it, but until I see some evidence I remain sceptical. I used to walk to school through a cemetary ever morning, and on cold misty mornings it used to be real creepy! Sometimes my mind used to play tricks on me, I used to see things that looked 'spooky' looking, but they just turned out to be branches or trees, when they came out of the mist! And there's definately something about mist in a graveyard, it does tend to linger around the gravestones, somewhat whispy and strange... Although, cutting through the cemetary in the evenings when it was dark was very,very scarey. Didn't do it often. Every noise, or gust of wind through the trees used to make me flinch! ...its the stuff horror films are made of! |

Here's a story that is meant to be true..you may have heard one similar. Picture this, a cold foggy winter day, a taxi driver stopped by the edge of the road to pick up a young girl who wanted a lift home. The driver gave the girl his sweater, to keep her warm as she was cold and wet. The girl thanked him and gave the taxi driver directions to her house. When he got there....he turned around and she was gone! The shocked taxi driver, who was stunned, knocked the door of the house. The girls mother came to the door and told him that her daughter had died 5 years ago! The following day, the driver, out of respect, took some flowers to the grave of the girl - and to his amazement, found his sweater draped over the headstone! |

That story made me shiver. I love those books you can get with all kinds of stories like those, they give me nightmares. Some of them are so scary, and some of them are so touching. |

Well, like I said, I'm skeptical... I know what I THINK I saw, but I don't know WHAT I saw. It could have been all in my head, it was like 2 in the morning, pitch dark, and I could only see by the light of the moon. And in situations like that, you get paranoid, you know? Every little gust of wind that makes the leaves move sounds EXACTLY like a guy walking towards you, stuff like that. Maybe I was being insane, and it made me see what I wanted to see... and I want to see a ghost. I don't think it was a ghost or anything, but it WAS a scary experience. |

Maybe ghosts work directly in your head altering reality as you see it... I suppose thats the easiest way for ghosts to manipulate in this dimension, just tweak the persception of a living spirit. It would be much easier than to take an actual physical shape... |

I think my flatmate does, he's got about 10 books on ghosts in his room. I used to be into it when I was younger, but more just because I liked ghost stories. |

I remember being told a story when I was very young. I don't remember where this took place, but there was a spot somewhere on railroad tracks that everytime a vehicle would stop on the tracks it would inexplicably get pushed across. That had been the site of a collision between a train and a school bus in which many small children died. So, someone testing this theory powdered their car a bit with baby powder and parked on the tracks. After getting pushed across, this person got all to look at their car and saw many tiny handprints all over the back of the car. It seems a very unlikely story but it stuck with me all through the years. |

well, i'd like to be a ghost so i could have a ghost girlfriend. ...nah, in fact, rather not. eternity frightens me. i hope somebody or something could free the ghosts from the human world if they exist. not because they might scare people, but because they must lead a very hard life... eh... unlife... death... or whatever you call it. |
