it looks way suckier on the internet. the actual cd with
the shiny silvery grey is pretty rad. but i really prefer
the back cover to the front.

Agreed. It's not of the quality of the earlier releases.
Very disappionting, and quite strange

it's absolute shite. draft was ok but untilted is a weak
rip-off of what matt pyke/tdr was doing 5 years ago. i put
the illustration on the inside so i have a grey page
instead, which is by far way better.

the album seemed v. good to me but i only listened to it
twice (got it in the post this week)

The art of Untilted adheres so wonderfully to the Golden
Ratio (on many scales and around many axes) that I have to
applaud it.

thing.

gl0tch, you don't apparently know that measuring golden
ratio is pretty simple, and if you look at the cover work,
it's easy to see a few such ratios:

(Golden Ratio can be approximated as 1.618/1 - which,
roughly, corresponds to 3/2, 5/3, 8/5, 13/8 etc.)

1) Firstly , the difference between the image and the black
space to its left. (it's true!)

Within the image:

2) the vertical gap between those white and yellow huge
wiggly things (that are mirror images of one another) in
relation to the parts that it separates on its left and
right side.

3) Also, the comparative sizes of those white and yellow
things. (the white piece being about 1.6 times the yellow
piece in width)

4) the thin vertical yellow stripe's location in relation to
that light blue bit's width.

... If you look at it further, you'll undoubtedly discover
many more ratios-within-ratios, since these are indeed
well-crafted proportions.

...

The point is not whether it's all consciously planned or not
(I'd say some of it is, some of it isn't), but it's there,
like in many beautiful things it is.

I would draw a picture of it, but I don't have the time
right now. Prove me wrong if you don't believe me, i.e.
don't know your geometry.

And no, it's probably not exactly the golden ratio all the
time, but pretty darn close, which pleases MY eye at any
rate...

I do like it, although it's very cold and bulky.

you're funny.

the golden ratio is in many things. ie - sunflowers,
crustacean exoskeletons, the layout of Washington, DC., the
proportions of the body, otherwise known as the Fibbonaci
sequence.

One could argue it occurs in all things to some degree of
vector ratio potential.

BUT, for you to say it is clearly on the design for Untilted
is silly.
Thats like saying if I hold up Draft 7.30 to the light, in a
mirror I will see the Qabilistic Sephir Yetzrah.
