Have many people here heard of this band? They're made up
of Chris Cornell (ex Soundgarden) doing vocals and the 3
others left from Rage Against The Machine.

Album is due out on November 19 .. I've grabbed a copy of
their album as mp3's already though, and also managed to
find demo material that was leaked months back.

For me this is a huge release, I havent had any artist make
me feel this way about their stuff in YEARS.. love it.
Some people probably wouldn't agree with me on that, but oh
well...

I like what I've heard so I will be picking up the album
when it comes out.

sounds interesting, I really liked what Rage Against The
Machine did with "renegades of funk" ,

Are they still political? Please tell me Cornell doesn't
rap.

I've only heard Cochise twice and I don't think it was
rapping. I don't know if they're AS political. It was mainly
Zach de la Rocha who was political really. Their website has
a stream of Cochise. I can't remember the address though
it's either audioslave.com or audioslavemusic.com

To be honest, I've never really been one to listen to
lyrics, I just listen for how the overall sound of them fits
in with the rest of the instruments..

Snipped this from mtv.com though ' "Cochise" was named
after an Apache Indian chief who declared war on the
Southeast and drove out thousands of settlers. In a
statement last month, Morello said, "Cochise the Avenger,
fearless and resolute, attacked everything in his path with
an unbridled fury. This song kinda sounds like that." '

*shrug*

I dunno if it was zack or tom who were more political? I've
only heard of tom being arrested for protesting stuff like
the gap and shit?

yeah the new stuff gets played all the time on australian
radio. esp. cochise, it is really popular (on JJJ). it is
still political and sounds pretty cool.

i'm kinda interested in audioslave but it's de la rocha's
solo album that is going to wow me and the world. not only
are his collaborators some of the dopest musicians and
producers on the planet, zack really IS a great lyricist in
every way.

it's not a demo... it's their new single. the demos were all
untitled and from jam sessions long ago.
