yes, i must admit everything ive heard by him is very well

Hmmm, if you want dark you could try Cannibal Ox, either the
Cold Vein album or Oxtrumentals which was the instrumental
version of the album. Company Flow - Funcrusher Plus,
Company Flow - Little Jonny In The Hospital.

i'm sure you'd be emotionally guarded if the media pried
into your life as much as they pry into eminem's

anyone heard of DJ CAM?

offline ecnadniarb on 2002-08-29 08:41 [#00370594]

Best freestyle by eminem was the one he did on radio
somewhere in the bible belt when he used something like
"coming through the airport sluggish, walking on crutches,
and hit a freakin pregnant bitch in the stomach with
luggage."

Nasty and funny...he was better when he was still hungry for
it.

yea my favorite lyrics by him are pre-fame, but he's
actually gotten better as an emcee in all regards except
lyrical content.

zeus: dj cam is pretty good but nowhere near as good as dj
krush!

Eminem is "real hip hop"...don't be taken in by the hype,
just because shit is popular don't mean that it's not real.
As the wise Ras Kass once said "Make a radio hit, heads
criticise it...underground classic, nobody buys it...so rap
is fucked"

yea dj krush, he's amazing..

here's a taster, download his collaboration with dj shadow
from the 1995 album meiso. the song is called "duality" and
it's 12+ minutes long.

Mos Def: one of the most sophisticated MC's out there, plus
the music is fucking smooth (if not that headnodding). Talib
Kweli and Common are really close to him. ecnadniarb already
recommended CanOx and CoFlow which are among my fave hip-hop
artists if a bit dark for you. Also, Jedi Mind Tricks,
Public Enemy, Antipop Consortium for a more footstomping
stuff...

Zeus try the Cannibal Ox album...it has some of the best hip
hop production I have heard.

Talib Kwali's album was shite though. Common, you need to
hear the stuff he did away from the major labels. Mos Def
is good enough. You could also try Copywrite, EARLY Wu-Tang
stuff (especially the first album Enter The 36 Chambers and
Raekwons - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Liquid Swords -
Genius/Gza) and 1 track everyone should own is Damage off
ODB's first album. Dark Rza production with Genius and ODB
spitting some shit over it...100% classic
