heheh si si.....i'm 1/2 italian.....with a fiery temper to prove it! ehehhe yea......trieste is in the north, my grandfather is pretty tall for an italian, my grandma was pretty short...ehehhe. my grandpa used to make WINE....i feel very close to my italian roots! |

The famous wind of Trieste should be called "BORA" and sometime it's very strong. (When I was a soldier under the army I was near Udine so near Trieste) |

WoW, i'd like to know which kind of wine your grandpa used to make... i love wine. Do he smash the grapes with the feet in a tub? It's an old classic method, do you know? :) |

my grandparents are from around that area (10 km out of trieste), and not so far back they used that method to make wine-nowdays everything is more artificial and we call that wind "burja", and its an "adriatic sea wind" |

whats funny is that i live on a hill in the moutains my grandfather named years ago....called monticello (little moutain) in italian. and it's very windy....perhaps thats why he liked it here.....ehehhe he used to make chianti and boy was it strong. he used to make us drink it when we were kids to make our blood strong! ahahha we would help pick the grapes and smash them and he would store them in oak barrells....he brought the vine from his homeland. i love my heritage and he taught me a lil italian. i felt right at home when i went there.....ehehhe i LOVE wine too!! |

Monticello... I think i never visited this little mountain, i'll check in the next days. Chianti is really a great wine, one of the best in Italy! It's strong but very very good... yuk... :D Yeah, in italy we are used to say: "drink wine, it makes your blood strong".. eheheh... you're grandpa is really cool :D |
