man this dissapointed me...everyone claims its autechres best album, but i honestly cant say it was nearly as good as Tri Repeate or Chiastic Slide...Rae and Corc are nice tracks though
the first track off of EP7 sounds good, ill see how that turns out.
am i not in the right "mindset"? it just sounds so different from the layered minimalism in the older ones.

oh man, you must be joking right? That album is so fucking amazing!
Every single track. You should really try and listen to it some more. Eventually you'll dig it ;)

i don't find it that amazing; when you're really in the mood for listening to it (and it doesn't come very often, unfortunately), it's great!
but when you're not, it sounds boring.

Yikes, I assumed everybody on Earth loved LP5. Are you a Martian, by any chance? ;-)

LP5 was the first thing I bought/and heard by autechre[my cousin recommended them, although he hadnt heard this album]and at first I hated it,the first song was alright. Then I listened to autechre`s over stuff [tri-repetae etc.]which I loved,so I decided to give LP5 another chance[several months later]and I`d say now that its my favourite album by autechre. My point......give it time, youll find the right mindset.Polynomial-C is right,Arch Carrier is a brilliant song

You have to be in the mood to listen to autechre, which for me isnt that often anymore,I only ever listen to certain tracks off tri-repetae,LP5 & Confield now.I actually hated ep7,I find it plain old dull, the first track is ok but thats it.I still consider LP5 their best album,as its the one I go back to most often, next to Tri-repetae,but I know what you mean.

one day i felt in the mood for autechre.
i was like... "hmmm i kinda wanna hear that first track from lp5"
so i go up put on the disc and my headphones... press play... so i'm like
"ok here we go...."
after a min. i'm like "ehhh..."
so I skip the track. and the next one starts so i'm like "ok here we go"
after less than i minute i'm like: "ok that was enough lets put something else..."
