I love every record he has put out yeah Selection sixteen
and hard normal daddy must be my two favourites.

What do you guys think...
It feels a bit wrong to say it but i think Tom got more
talent than Richard.
Am I right hmm? eeh

Well, the studio CD is 60% good, though no real progress has
been made: just a series of anally precise edits and cuts
but it still sounds quite OK and, you being new into him
will probably like it more than I did. The rest is filler.
However, the Live CD is a total ripoff: he basically plays
"Go Plastic" from his harddisk to a cheering crowd and yells
"Make some fucking noise" from time to time. Not only that
he makes very little interventions on the existing music,
the sound quality is of that kind that all the little
details that make "Go Plastic" good get lost in the mix and
you are just washed with a series of aggressive acid lines
and flying snares. All in all, I wouldn't buy it if it sells
at a double CD price.

I totally agree with MEho ;)

The only DOPE track is the title track but I already got
that one on vinyl (u remembe that untitled wap 155 release?
its the same track).

A average release..I wont buy it if they sell it as double
cd price that would be fucking lame :(

squarepusher is a fucking genius.
he can make controlled noise and fuck with it until it is
too damn funky.
he plays the jazz bass like some kind o f superb mother
fucker.
i saw him play live last year when he supported tortoise at
the shepards bush empire and he was, as he likes to make
out, the fucking daddy.

Yeah, I have heard so much of his incredible live sets that
I was really disappointed with the live CD of "DYKS" set. I
guess you have to see it to fully appreciate it. The crowd
on the disc seems to be extatic...

i saw him in sydney not too long after "go plastic" was
released. he definately was not just playin it off his hard
drive. he was under the desk doin somethin with synths and
dsp fx. couldnt see what but......

i guess you lose allot when you record a live set though.
the atmos was awesome, i guess you gotta be there. ive heard
the live disk, and yeah, its not as good as i remember the
gig being.

could have allot to do with the volume too. squarepusher was
the loudest gig ive been to in a while.
