Is it me or is this show complete shit now? No wit, style,
or creative animation. The old ones are still watchable, but
they should just stop making them.. they stink!

well, i don't know about "complete shit", but it has lost
its drive over the years.

Matt Groening is milking it for the money - he admitted it
in an interview, although it's hard to tell with him how
serious he was.

They should have let go of the simpsons two years ago and
kept Futurama on.

It has indeed turned into "Shite Time featuring the Wacky
Adventures of Crrrrazy Homer"

re-run...

Simpsons can never get old. How can you find anything bad
in the new season??

Futurama is great, they still air it here but there are
repeats cause the show is over.

Yeah, its still on because they have a couple old episodes
to show. But no new episodes are in production because it
was cancelled by the idiots at FOX. A victim of a poor
timeslot and a stupid show called Malcolm in the Middle.

I think there stopping futurama[too expensive to make or
something],but they should stop making the simpsons, its just
not funny anymore, the old episodes are.and they should keep
futurama on,but oh well, what you going to do[the powers that
be have decided]

I think 50 percent of the population still like the simpson,
which is more than enough of a reason to keep it around...

the simpsons lost its knack. it relies too much on homer and
celebrity guests. the gags are slapstick, not witty, and
besides a select few recent episodes (marijuana episode
included) i can't see any justification for its existence
outside of reruns.

Click here to see what many, many more people think
about The Simpsons. For those unfamiliar, the site is called
"Jump the Shark", which is a term they coined that means
when a show has reached it's peak... when you just know it's
all down hill from that point on.

the OLD simpsons were GENIUS.... easily one of the best
things on T.V. EVER.....

...too bad the new ones suck in comparisson....
...but they are still better than the average drivel that
makes up television programming...
*sigh*

hey im new btw, i think they should bring back family guy,
its way more funny then the simpsons

Yes! Family guy was better than futurama and the later
simpsons. Instead of trying to make a believable or
realistic storyline, they just did what they felt like, but
always worked. I loved Stewie.

I think I hated that show. I think the funniest thing I've
seen on TV for years was when they had Joe Camel and the
Marlboro man on Futurama...

I haven't seen any of the new shows. the BBC got kind of
stuck on series 8 for a year now.

up to there, I think its GREAT.

All we get over here at the moment on normal telly is the
OLD shit , like the first series when they all look
different and retarded, i've seen the same episodes so many
times.

i concur, family guy is a masterpiece of an animated sitcom.
was that show officially cancelled?

offline EVOL from a long time ago on 2002-08-22 00:42 [#00359209]

early simpsons were kinda retarded cuz like they had more
episodes with morals and stuff like that,

then in the middle they started getting good for what they
are known for with only the occasional moral,

now it's just so predictable like the writers know this and
try to make it like one big huge inside joke to where
nothing makes sense to us anymore, and i'm not talking about
the kind of inane random humor that doesn't make sense
that's why it's funny, this now is just like wtf?! i don't
get it besides the fact that they are tryin' to be funny by
not letting us in on the punchline. which sux.

i still think it's great but it has to be said that it would
be great to put sky one on at tea-time one day and for the
first time in 10 years have something else than those
simpsons 'domino pizza' ads blaring at me :-(

Blashphemy!!

even the crappiest episode of Simpsons is funnier than any
American Sitcom/ comedy running currently

hum, maybe the middle episode spoiled me silly, but I can't
even watch the latest formulated plotless shit.

Figures kids @ school got a kick out of the one where homer
smoked bud. fucking typical.

nothings comming up millhouse anymore :(
