Anyone from that area? Apparently that's where I'm from,
sort of. And then if my last name is de Vries, why is not de
Vriesland?

no offense but thats an area i tend to avoid.. people talk
funny there and think their province should be entirely
independant from the rest of the netherlands. They also
think their funny accent is an actual language. Crazy
people..

De vries is just a dutch name,
it has nothing to do with Friesland.

De Vries is like Smith in English. its extremely common.

Friezen (people from Friesland) can be nationalistic
fukkers..

Yeah I heard it's a really common name...Now I don't feel
special.

I"m going to change my name to Klaas.

What are your names anyway? You all speak English so well.

ah thats funny, my last name is Peterhans, which isn't dutch
at all, but swiss, although I'm born in the Netherlands. you
see, my father is swiss and somehow in dutch law it states
that I get my fathers nationality.

its all rather confusing and very, very silly.
