do you think anyone would be interested in seeing a techno
cover band (i.e. guitars, bass, drums)? i'm thinking about
starting one, just for fun.

When I was at university I had a soap opera theme tune and
advert cover band. Home and Away and Club(If you like a lot
of chocolate) were the show stoppers.

Not a bad idea man,but I still love the way it is done
electronically, even though, like the way Mouse on mars and
Air performs their music,a bit different, but very goood....

Yeah,some feedbacks,combined with synth sounds,they both
combined electronica plus acoustics in one show....It's the
best of both worlds......==)

my band, tiki obmar, covered i wish you could talk by
squarepusher at one of our shows awhile back. we had two
back to back shows, so the first night we played it at the
normal tempo. then the second night we played it half the
tempo, with the melody at the same tempo. the breakbeat
sounds very nice slowed down.
but yea it was fun, we jammed and such truck, ya know.

The acoustic d'n'b thing seems to be getting pretty popular.
At my school there are a bunch of bands like that, many of
which are very hip at the Boston clubs! Most of 'em are a
regular band with 1 or 2 synth players. Not really my bag,
but kinda cool to see live.

Electro: are you referring to Breakbeat Era?

there's a live dnb band on Shadow Records: Droid
they suck though...
ya I'm dying to play drums for a dnb rock fusion group. I
got this fucked up break beat/hiphop/rock/funk/jazz style of
drumming, i've been developing it for about a year, i just
need a band.

minneapolis. they broke up but were fucking amazing,
especially live. five members. drums, guitar, bass,
keyboards, and a dj
they all did programming of some sort. download the public
