having friends over. i don't want a movie like requiem for
a dream or begotten or eraserhead. something a bit
happier.

Just go to the rental place and see what's there.. there are
too many fun movies to mention, just see what you think is
funny and pick it up. It's be easier if you gave us a list
of what you are thinking if getting so we could comment ;)

i don't know... some of the folks coming over are young in
movie knowledge...

it's wide open. should i culture them with david lynch.
should i use a classic comedy. ... a cheesy action movie?

so many ways to use my potential influence through
movies...

maybe i'm putting too much into this...

http://howisya.tripod.com/film.html

i've been keeping a list since 2000 of movies to rent.
everything crossed out are movies i hadn't seen in 2000 but
have seen since. this isn't all-encompassing; i don't
include movies i see on the big screen or movies i catch on
tv or at someone else's house (unless it happens to be on my
list).

anyway, feel free to ask me about any of those movies
crossed out, some of them have been amazing!

Amelie!

Amelie!

Amelie!

Just saw it for the first time the other day... it really
depressed the shit out of me, although I GUESS it's a happy
movie. Or something. But it was melancholy and depressing
for me, personally... can't stop thinking about it.

And THAT'S a sign of a good movie.

Also, like B3n said, Battle Royale is ggrrrrrreat. Kill kill
maim destroy Ka BOOM KA BLAM IEEEEEEEKKK!!!!

Fear & Loathing is great! They captured the feeling of the
book really well.
Has anyone seen Momento?
I will have to check out Amelie.

yes! Check "Le fabuleux destin d' Amelie Poulin"!!
You won't regret it .
This is a classic already.

I think 'Memento' was pretty boring.... dunno...
I had the feeling they were trying to copy some Quinten
Tarantino.
Carrie -anne moss is a good actress tho.
I can't wait to see her in the new Matrix movie.

I liked "Memento." It's worth seeing just because of the
way it's put together, pretty unusual

MEMENTO is really good. especially because the guy's
condition is for real, meaning there are classic cases in
psychology where people actually have the same 'problem'
(well, i know of at least one)...

i'd go with SNATCH if there's a lot of people coming over.
