Nope. I used to buy CDs just on the basis of reviews in
Rollingstone or Guitar World or wherever, but that was the
extent of my ''blind purchasing'', not knowing anything else
about the band/artist.

What?

I hope you're being facetious! That album is fucking
great... how could someone not like Alberto Balsalm and
Acrid Avid Jamshred and The Waxen Pith?

Surely you JEST, Robert, surely you JEST!

I love ventolin because of the way he used tones instead of
traditional ideas for music. And it scares animals.

I dont buy CDs with ugly covers, I want a nice looking CD
cover, preferbaly some avangarde Picture, weird geometrical
forms with clever fonts and such........in other werds the
stereotypical IDM Cover will please me....

how could you not like I care because you do,especially
ventolin[cant get enough of those squeaky noises!],brilliant
album.I`ve bought quite a few albums because of how they
look,unkle-it opens up in the middle, with artwork on either
side-had seen it for a while ,just decided to buy it one
day[and turned out to be a good album]orbital insides-and
because it was 3 quid.Theres a few more but I cant be arsed
looking.

I had heard one song by Autechre but didn't know where to
start so I bought EP7 because of the cover

ive been tempted to... just today.. i saw this cd by a band
named 'serene' and contemplated getting it sometime because
the cover art was cool..
if i had more money..i would buy all kinds of cds based on
cover art.. it would be interesting to listening to an
unknown cd for the first time having no idea what to
expect...

actually, i did buy fog's cd mostly based on its cover
art..i did hear one song online first...but it was just the
intro...

i also bought rotor+'s cd based on one vague review...and
the fact that it came in a book...without hearing anything
from it ..and it turned out to be one of the best albums ive
ever bought
my purchase of phoenecia's brownout was mostly based on the
cover too...as i had heard nothing from them prior..

so yeah...i guess i have bought cds because of cool cover
art...but not soley..not yet at least
i have gone and checked out cds online because of their
covers though

I did the exact same thing. I had a choice between EP7 and
LP5, and now I wish i had gone with the latter.

I once got this club flys compilation cd... its like goa
acid club stuff (best acid I heard in a while). It had some
Uberzone remix's and fatboy slim.. and this really great
song at the end of it.... its pretty neat. And the cover
looked all neat.. so I got it..

Mickey Mouse says: I CANT WAIT TILL VENETIAN SNARES SNAKES
ALBUM COMES OUT!
