god lives underwater i htought was supposed to have a new
album in the works, they are a good show live
$3.00 the fist time i saw them :0)

re: GLU - this link will tell you everything that happened

never heard of babyland.
----
i keep my own list of lost bands, only i call it "currently
working at mcdonald's" (or in some electronica groups' case,
office depot). lately i added in parenthesis what they are
or are supposedly doing as a way to explain why they haven't
been heard from. here's my list:
currently working at mcdonald's:

Fluke (demoing supposedly)
Front 242 (did an album soundtracking a European car racing
DVD)
Mazzy Star (Hope Sandoval solo career; broke up?)
Meat Beat Manifesto (Jack Dangers obscure music concrete ep
and timo breaks comps)
My Bloody Valentine (some journalists calling Shields
"formerly of MBV"; still recording with Primal Scream)
Portishead (recording new album supposedly)
Propellerheads (recording an album for 2003; finished 2
albums and threw them away)
Sarah McLachlan
Shizuo

i used to have groups like nightmares on wax, fugazi, and
heather nova on there but they released something last year
or will this year.

i should add Esthero. her album was supposed to come out in
2000 or 2001 and it never did. the most recent thing i heard
about her was she was going to sing on a song on oakenfold's
debut album as a recording artist, but i listened to the
song and he took her vocals off of it for whatever reason.
in 2001 she made only 3 guest appearances - ian pooley,
black eyed peas, and last emperor (promo only album, STILL
unreleased). the song she did with lisa "left eye" lopes
came out in 2000. i dunno why labels hate her, i guess they
just do. i stuck her on a fictional song with squarepusher
on the next handsome boy modeling school album.

Where the fuck did Front 242 go?

I was listening to some of their stuff last night.

Probably one of the first electronic groups I got into.

well, as i said .. they recently scored some european race
car dvd. otherwise i dunno what they've been doing. the only
album they've put out in years is the aforementioned
soundtrack.

they're AIM logs between some fan girl and the singer from
GLU. it explains what happened with the album, the label,
the band, and the guy personally.

the cd sounds more like Empty. its more guitar based than
electronics. i dont think its as good as empty or life in so
called... its still good though.
