i like just sticking to my electronic music. which have no lyrics. i find the human voice Disgusting and annoying. most of today's artists try and sound all
so "Spiritual, and Deep. cut the bull shit, and keep it for yourself or write it in a diary
electronic music is all about sound not themes, personal struggle ect

I like some electronic music because it opens up a new range of musical possibilities like different sounds and sequences that are impossible to do live.
I listen to all kinds of music though, electronic music is only a small portion of it.

human voice is very important sometimes... for example dntel- the most fantastic tracks from "life is full of possibilities" are the vocal ones.
and what "do you know squarepusher" would be without this wicked vocals? :o)

I just like MUSIC... whether it's electronic, acoustic, lyrics, no lyrics, whatever... I just like MUSIC. I love voices, but I love instrumentals.\
If you find the human voice disgusting and annoying, well... sucks to be you. It's nice to have variety.

when you have almost endless possibilities choosing sounds for your music, why would you always choose the electric guitar, the electric bassguitar, the drumset and the stupid vocals?
most 'electronic' acts are less limited than the mainstream and uses these instruments less frequently since there is so much else to choose from.

more mainstream bands nowadays are exploring into the use of other instruments and different styles.
radiohead would be an overused-example.
what's wrong with being "spiritual and deep"? It's quite good when they put ideas in peoples' heads, i dont mean brainwashing them, i mean giving them another way to look at something. Metaphors are beautiful.
I personally think that the human voice is beautiful, kings of convenience would be a great example of beautiful singing.

vocals can sound good and sometimes even make sense (very rarely though), but that's not the reason most 'musicians' have vocals in every track. it's just the way it's supposed to be.

i think most musicians have music in their tracks because the oldest form of music was based around drums and vocals, so they've just stuck.
And also the lyrics act as another form of poetry.

i like electronica with lyrics, but i like songs with out. when i go on long trips i like the stuff with out.. i duno what i am trying to say.. some thing about the fluidness of non-lyric electronica seems to keep things stimulating with out being annoying....
but why electronica? for me it is the beat, and layers. i can not stand music with out a strong kick ass beat. even the chinese music i adore has great beat.

Your voice is just about the only thing nothing or no one can emulate.
I agree though. I do not listen to much music with vocals.
I like Steve Reich's three movements though. The vocal arrangements on the first two are amazing. That's the kind of stuff I'm into.
I also think that Maynard James Keenan has a very nice voice, possibly the best male voice in rock today and maybe ever.
I also get tired of guitar. I don't hate guitar itself, I just cannot stand what most people do with it. Solo it up, jackasses. That shit is lame.

Hey Urb, is your avatar a scene from Twin Peaks? It looks like it.
The one where they shot the entire scene backwards; vocal lines and everything. Creepy stuff.

sometimes words get in the way of what you're feeling at that exact moment when you put on the music like if you are in a particualar mood (besides hatefull) then electronic is usually the best way to just let your emotions flow when you listen to rock or rap or country words kinda control the direction of your thoughts and you can't really be one with how you feel when your wavelength is interupted by "words"

i like lyrics when the are a bit abstract, and you have to think about them, rather than the tedius, linkin park style obviousness. And swearing does nothing for me either.
BTW, capitol K does the singing thang well.
