listening to one of my favorite albums, the fragile
by nin, for the first time in its entirety since 2001. just
finished the first track, "somewhat damaged." if you have
the album (or the mp3 of the song) listen to this song. the
2nd half of the song (after the "ding!" noise) would be an
amazing backing for a really, really aggressive and insane
emcee to rap over. i think that'd be even better than the
song as it stands. trent really should get into producing
hip-hop for underground artists, that'd be so amazing.

(doesn't expect a single reply)

fragile has some good moments... im not a die hard nin
fan...

but i can appriciate his instrumental tracks alot more then
ones where he screams... (i just dont like vocals that
much... be it rapping or singing/screaming... unless its
very minimal... ala a voice singing something in the
background)

but uh, yeah, so alittle off subject

the song... whats it called... compilation.. or
contemplation? i cant remember...

it sounds like an Evil Rave song or something... i was
surprised to hear it on there...

"complication" - great song! amazing to see them do it live
too, it sounds so inhuman.

even though there was alot of screaming and stuff... it was
just so well done

piggy was done SO WELL

captures the tour experience (i saw them in maryland in
2000). and it's cool how they made that by themselves!

agreed, nin has a huge hip-hop influence, but i'm talking
about trent lending his production talents and musicianship
to underground hip-hop, like def jux sort of artists.

Trent produced some of the N.E.R.D.S. stuff, he even did a
remix of some song...not that great though...

he also remixed Pdiddy too. The instrumental is way better
than the vocal track.

and whats wrong with the Lyrics qrter?

Actually Trents lyrics are good, its just that he cant
really sing. I dont enjoy his "yelling" that much, but I
still enjoy listening to his music.

i think he yells rather well.

trent didn't produce anything on the n.e.r.d. album, don't
spread misinformation! naughty usacid. but he did remix "lap
dance." and yea in '98 he remixed that track by biggie,
busta and puffy. i like it. that's old tho, and he can do so
much better.

i prefer his singing to his lyrics actually!

I agree..fragile had some wicked grooves..half the time I
was hoping trent would shut up his moaning and let the music
breathe..

i enjoy nin quite a bit. i like the fragile the best and i
like his yelling and moaning as many of you call it. his
lyrics fit the music so i have no problem with that.
