what record you can't listen when your mother or father is in the same room? for me - venetian snares & speedranch 'making orange things'. it is too weird/wicked/mad for my parents. |

My mom likes the wacky stuff like Confield... or at least she SAYS she does. But I think she's just trying to look ''cool'' by ''liking'' my cutting edge music. But she genuinely seems acceptant of it, not hating it or anything... but I doubt she really likes it. |

Mom = I can play anythign Dad = I am somehow allowed to play Autechre and other IDM but when something comes on with 'repetition' i can't listen to it. once 4/4 boom boom boom boom comes on..i have to turn it off....or down |

that's cos there're so many different types of jazz. she prolly hates miles davis' "bitches brew" but loves "birth of the cool," YOU DIG? there was a comic last sunday (zits) where a character said "i was seconds away from drinking my own urine!" i clipped out just the talk bubble and put it on a telephone pole! |

For my Mom I could play some beatles stuff, nick drake, beach boys, eels, gentler sort of stuff..she hated squarepusher when i showed her it once in the car though my Dad enjoys stuff like mercury rev, the flaming lips, grandaddy, broadcast when i show him..he wouldn't like idm though, especially like Autechre, prolly think it's just noise |
