CORTEX i am pro drugs cause they are just great in
moderation... .that can enhance every feeling.... with a
dramatic increase in the fun factor.... as i mentioned in
moderation... and using the right one... i think there
should be far more info on them to prevent unexperianced
people buying the wrong ones (or shit ones like various
denominations of X and speed LSD etc.... that have 90% over
over ultra harsh chemicals) and ending up dead.... there is
a hell of a lot more i want to say but its boaring to
read....... so my thumb is up for drugs.... but not that
inhalation shit !!!!.... thumbs down ... wtf is up with that
?

you really aren't enhancing any feeling, you're just dumping
shit in your brain to make you think it's actually better
than it is.

not trying to diss or anything, but it's not for my anymore.

Why does everybody feel the need to tell the whole world (or
at least this mb) that:

a) they've stopped taking drugs
b) drugs are bad.
c) people who do drugs are bad
d) drugs are morally wrong
e) peolpe who do drugs are morally wrong
f) do/don't take drugs

a) is your own personal choice and has nothing to do with
the rest of us, tyvm
b) - e) are all sweeping general (and generally uninformed)
opinions and are useless and confusing to those who expect
to gain from accepting these statements
f) anyone who dictates to others is an egomaniac who must
think the rest of the world unable to make decisions on
their own.

Having said all that, I now present mho on: Drugs.

Drugs are available, despite every attempt of the government
to inhibit and prohibit their general distribution. This is
because drugs can be a life affirming experience, a life
numbing experience, or a life ending experience, depending
on what the coinsumer desires. While the government tries to
stop the "illegal" distribution of "controlled" substances,
it gives patents to various Corporate Entities for other
substances that are as harmful as anything that is
"illegally" consumed. And I'm not just talking about drugs.
Any industrial chemeical that reacts to the environment
should be a controlled substance, from cigarettes to
gasoline to dry cleaning chemicals to factory waste
materials.

I do not enjoy inhaling car exhaust
I do enjoy inhaling marijuana smoke
I do not enjoy wierd haze halo around the sun on smoggy
days
I do enjoy the dancing tendrils of light around the moon
after a hippie-flip while listening to downtempo from the
second stage
I don't enjoy the list of additives and colourings on the
side of "food" labels, and I shudder to think about the
unlisted materials...
I do enjoy the spite I shell to the government and "law"
makers by supporting the underground economy.

The "war" on drugs is a war on the citizenship of the world
and you can't win a war against your own army. Education and
legalizati

"Why does everybody feel the need to tell the whole world

If anything I think its because drugs are a pretty common
topic on this message board and people have the right to
their opinion.

I have better things to do than take drugs. My brain is too
good to be artificially manipulated. The day I need drugs to
entertain myself is the day I declare ''PERSONAL
BORINGNESS'', if there IS such a thing.

The mentality of many people on this board makes it not
surprising that one of #1 ways humans die in the world is a
100% COMPLETELY preventable disease.

You heard of AIDS? It's a shared disease, you can not share
it if you have it, and it would go away, but people don't.

You make choices, sometimes you get fucked into bad ones,
but choices led to those choices as well. Sex is a choice,
and it has a lot of bad shit around it.

Drugs are the same way, sometimes it is fun, most time it is
shitty for other people around you, and sometimes you die.

Those are risks people are willing to take because of one
thing, INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

Drugs (prescription ones aside) don't help your future, it's
an escape now, it can lead to pleasure, pain, death,
whatever.

There are risk, a fuckload less risk in chilling and
listening to music with friends than all dropping E and
rolling.

But guess what, kids want to "escape"
they want to push back, and they want pleasure NOW.

That's why sex is rampant, and the shit that comes with it,
STDs, AIDS, keep killing people. You won't stop people from
having sex, even if sometimes the consequence is death.

You won't stop people from doing drugs, even if the
consequence is death, cuz USUALLY, you don't die, and the
high is worth the risk man! Get me out of this world to
planet trip!

I can sit here and yell all I want about how dumb your
choices are because logic and rational, things this world is
founded on, would prohibit you from ever making the choice
to use drugs in light of the POSSIBLE consequences.

It's called a ME ME ME mentality, and INSTANT GRATIFICATION.
All drug users are the same in that regard, that's a shitty
character trait, and I can yell as much as I want about how
yellow that is.

ME ME ME?

But I share my stash!

If people use drugs as an escape, it suggests that their
original situations suck and are toxic to begin with. People
die and are out of control and make selfish choices
regardless of whether they're on drugs or not.

Instant gratification creates a consumerist world where you
pay to wear the trendiest clothes that were sewn by 12 year
olds for less than a meal a day. It creates class structure
within societies, and between countries. Do you know what's
going on in Ughanda, Somalia, or the Congo? Do you care?
Does it affect you? Is this because you are selfish?

My friends and I all take care of each other. We're all
aware of what we are doing, and we do it in a safe and
controlled environment. We have healthy, trusting
relationships and know each other well enough to help and
engage each other on the levels we find ourselves on. The
last big festival I went to there were many (most, in fact)
there who were rollicking in the fits of ecstatic bliss and
mushing to their hearts content, and no one else was the
least bit miserable because of it. This is beacuse of a
common social decision to allow us to experiment with our
own perseptions and identities. This is HEALTHY and NATURAL.
It may even be evolutionary...but thats another topic
altogether.

Any deaths related to E (or any other drug) tend to be
related to the fact that the MDMA was spiked with PCP, the
heroin was "too pure", etc. If the government would offer to
tax and control the quality and availability of these
substances (like they do with alcohol and tobacco) they'd
make tonnes of money and we'd have better and safer drugs.

But no...they don't.

Those selfish bastards!!!
