when people say they're in college, is it the same as

College is 2 years, but it matters on your professor if its
hard or not

University is 4 years, more expensive.

It's summertime, I'm homeschooled, a slacker, and still
finishing my junior year of high school before fall gets
here and I have to deal with senior crap.

I'm a dancer. We just get through high school because we
have to or our parents make us.

In America college is the same as university. In the UK
college usually means sixth form (the same as the last
couple of years in American highschool).
Although some people (the americanised brits) call uni,
"college". Confusing eh?

I've got 12 GCSEs

2 1/2 A levels

I'm mid way through my BSc (hons) in computing

I'm probably going to do a MCP or MCDBA vocational
qualification at the end of this year.

It's the study of what is, what wa nad what shall be
(according to me lecturer back then!) It vbasically entailed
theorising about the cause nad effect of all matter and
consequence in the universe!

offline ohin from Madison (United States) on 2002-07-26 09:02 [#00325415]
Points: 11 Status: Lurker

I'm aware of that, I am a philosophy major, but all
metaphysics is theoritical ain't it? metaphysics is more
than cause and effect if i'm not mistaken. anything to do
"beyond" the physics in fact.

offline flim-flam from In a cupboard, in the kitchen. (United Kingdom) on 2002-07-26 09:14 [#00325439]

Exactly.....it was basically a matter of trying to decide on
the actual cause of Gravity.....
We covered thangs like....dare I say.....ESP and the
supernatural.....whether they are forms of energy, thought
or just random gravitational wells...
Basically, the be all and end all of the human imagination
and whether it was a catalist to creation!
Was peice of pizz in truth......a whole course of thinking!

Yeah, one of my flatmates is from inner city london and is
really bitter towards people like our upstairs flatmates.
Basically, he was going to do medicine, and whilst he got
the grades he was rejected on the basis of his interview.

He ended up doing Law at Bristol (still a "good" degree) and
is annoyed at all the people who got there mainly due to the
wealth of their parents.

He says posh people are gits because they never have to work
so they are out on the pop every night and have no
consideration for their neighbours.
