I've now got the DVD. I really liked this Anime. Very pleasing to the eye and some of the detail in the script is great.
Just wondering what those of you who have seen this thought about it?

As I literally sat down before my computer on the afternoon of Tuesday 11th September 2001, I had the intention of beginning a new series of thoughts, based on Biblical journeys. The phone rang, it was my wife to tell me to turn the radio on, we have family and friends in the USA and as I listened and heard the tragic news that came in from the United States of America I was stunned. Both Gail and I listened in the office in unbelief at the enormity of the events unfolding in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. Later in the evening I saw the events on television.
Having worked in the construction industry for most of my adult life and knowing the safety factors that are provided for by structural engineers I was amazed by both the physical demolition of three huge buildings and the scale of human loss. What an awesome way in which to be reminded of both the frailty and brevity of life!
This morning, Wednesday, I hear the stories of human drama and tragedy. People talking to their families from mobile phones on the aircraft that are about to become weapons of mass destruction. Others calling for help from under the wreckage of buildings. My heart grieves for the shear helplessness of the situation.
The gates of eternity are open for the many today. These were people at work like you and I, they had left home in the morning to go about their daily toil, with no idea of what the day held for them. No doubt many amongst the fallen were Christians at work like you and me. Our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, gives us a wonderful hope, but it does not protect us from the acts of sinful man. Oh please be challenged by this demonstration of the brevity of life and the nearness of eternity.
The World Trade Centre and all of the Wall Street Finance District of New York together with the Pentagon in Washington are symbols of the wealth and power of that great nation of states. Whoever planned the attack knew exactly where to inflict the greatest damage, both in terms of co-lateral impact and national pride.
Many wil

Many will grieve and mourn; some will shake their fists at God for allowing this to happen; others will simply and quietly struggle to come to terms with the whole tragic event.
Firstly, our prayers and thoughts must go out to those grieving families and hurting people of all nations who will have been affected and touched by this huge disaster.
But, we have to learn something too; yes a Sovereign God did allow these events to happen and thousands of lives to be taken. However, the motive for the attack and the symbols that were the object of the disaster were strictly earthly and human. The World Trade Centre represented the wealth and power of man, the Pentagon the might of man. The motives for the attack were no doubt the constant human struggle between wealth and poverty, greed and hatred.
The bottom line is that most of mankind has dealt God out of most of their lives. I am not suggesting for one moment that He is against the creation of wealth; we have sufficient Biblical evidence to indicate that He approves of wealth creation, but it is how and where that wealth and power is used and where it figures in our lives.
We have taken our eyes away from our first love, I can’t remember which book it was, but I know it was written by Charles Swindoll, He talked about the horizontal and vertical perspectives values of man. He suggests that we are always looking around us and allowing ourselves to be drawn along by the world, it is only when we raise our eyes above the horizon and look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith that we see things in the right perspective. I hope this awful and tragic disaster will remind us of the righteous and just nature of God and also that He is the God who constantly reveals His own unique love for us, He demonstrated this love for us by sending His only begotten Son to die for us, even whilst we were still sinners.
Let me conclude with the following thought: Paul wrote to the Corinthians, ‘Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mer
