Ok, I'm mad at those divx files that are too big to burn on
a fucking 700MB disc... I need harddrive space, can't have
these bloated files sitting on my C drive.

I know you can chop these huge files down a little bit, with
minimal quality loss. Then they'll fit on one disc. But what
do I use to do this, and HOW? Any easy ways?

Any takers? Be a dear, help me. Help me, help YOU. Show me
the money!!! SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!

I've seen 99min/870 MB CDRs now. You can use Nero and
overburn these.

You're probably better off just cutting the movie in half
and using 2 discs rather than trying to re-encode.

Good question. I downloaded 'Office Space', it's dvd
quality, and it's 380 megs.

=o/

What the fuck? It's 90 minutes long and every other avi file
I have that length is like 700 - 800 megs

870MBs? Hmm, interesting, better look for some of those...

What program would I need to chop them in half?

Yeah, I have Trainspotting and it's less than 400MB... still
great quality... I would rather NOT use 2 discs for a movie,
that would be cumbersome (cool word).

I think that's the only easiest way to do what you want.
Cut 'em and save to two discs. A little annoying but hey.

Thanks, Third, I'll check that out. Though grudgingly... two
discs... *grumble...
