Ae's arrogant songs

I consider the last part of Rpeg and the first min of
Lentic to be Autechre's 'arrogant peices. Arrogant in the
way they point to themselves with their music indirectly and
say 'here's what we can do' with noses pointed high. They
may not have planned their peices that way but I somehow see
them putting a little more 'effort' than normal into some
songs just to let people know what they're capable of.

Squarepusher's stuff is made of that. I love it. It's just
music that says "Look at me, I'm a badass."

yeah i can see that. it's analogous to building an
ultra-fast UFO, if u will, & piloting it over the heads of
today's car drivers on a busy highway

The last 30 seconds of Boneville Occident are arrogant as
hell. He's like, "I've just fucking spun you around 300
times in 4 seconds and here we are, back at the beginning."

That doesn't make any sense, but when he drops that melody
at the end I get this feeling he's saying "Look how badly I
just m9ndfucked you, wanna go again?"

when I listen to some of the songs on Drukqs, like Cock/ver
10, track 4, 54 Cymru Beats it's almost like RDJ is saying,
"Ok, here's some seemingly random noise... figure it
out!!!"... you know, at the end of those tracks... you get
these weird noisey parts, that are really intricate if you
listen closely...
