i noticed on someones post the other day " from the country that will destroy the earth: the united states". since a lot of people on this mb aren't from america, i was wondering what everyone thought about america, good or ill. |

I'd like to visit Canada in the wintertime, and the Southern Andes. They Just seem like beautiful wildernesses. The US is the ultimate crass marketeering eploiters of nature. there was a newsnight programme on, a few weeks ago over here in the UK, and this american guy said that people in Britain were jealous of America's "empire", because Britain had lost theirs. I dont think anyone even THINKS of the british empire anymore. I dont think people should hate america, but i understand why they do. |

i live in the us, and i wish i didnt. i agree that it is wrong to hate another country if you have never been there or at least tried to understand their culture, but i feel that so many people here are ignorant, stuck up, and selfish. the only problem is i dont really know where i want to be, i just know its not here. |
