marlowe:you plum!

Blatant Echo: your fan is probably loose, open up ur
computer shell and just tighten the fan's screws, it should
run with less noise :D

Just remove the fan and carefully cover the CPU with a
plastic bag full of ice. Be careful and use two plastic bags
in case of a leak.

some hearty advice? What a revolution.

I will give that a try, but now I have a t-shirt wedge
between the tower and my desk and it's been silent ever
since.

Suggests to me it's out of balance or something. Iono, no
more bloody puppy.

Someones hairdo is making me ill though, Hitler's?

The monitors in the labs where I am at the moment make a
weird noise when people use mobile phones. Sounds like they
have geiger counters in them ;)

monitor speakers?! I wouldnt think a monitor would make
noise?! just interfere with the picture slightly.

my pc monitor plays up a bit 5 seconds before i get a phone
call on my mobile.
But my speakers do make that noise 1:18 into 54 Cymru Beats
when theres some mobile phone activity.
