matter what.

"I dont care if you have to shovel shit, you're gonna find a
job"

so uh... yeah.

Wish me luck... that I dont have to shovel shit, or
something like that...

Lol. . . hmm, Zeus the best way to get a job is to do
volunteer work first. If you find a place that you want to
work, ask if you can volunteer there. After volunteering
for a couple'a weeks, when you apply, you'll almost
certainly get it.

Of course, it depends on what kind of job you want; some you
can't really do volunteer work for.

(Hint, hint: volunteer work on a resume is what makes you
stand out from everyone else. it shows you're SELF
MOTIVATED)

Or if not that it at least shows that you want them to THINK
you're self motivated. XD

the past two months have been spent trying to find a job.
i have filled out many applications.
but, no one wants to hire high school kids, at all.
so they simply make up excuses.

its sucks.
it sucks horribly.

on top of that, my mom yells at me for trying to get a job
and failing, some motivation.

exactly.

and i lived out of the country for highschool... so I wasnt
legally allowed to work. So the only work experiance I have
is working at the library for 3 months back in the summer
before 9th grade.

People see this on my application, and chuck it into the
waste basket.

My mom told me i shouldnt be so picky. I dont want to work
at fast food... cause ill smell like fast food for months.
Its gross...

but she said I have to get a job...

Apply for one of those summer events. . . the one in my
city, I'll be working for 10 days and making upward of 500
dollars total. It's just basically a temporary summer
amusement park.

They have those sort of things in every big city, and you
can make some good money off of that.

Could you handle being ruthlessly taken advantage of and
abused at. . . . say, McDonald's?

Working at a fast food joint is almost a right of passage.
Truly, if you never work fast food (or another equally
crappy job) you won't realize how good you have it at a
better job. Besides, they're usually pretty low
responsibility jobs, and you might meet some nasty greasy
chicks to shag in the walk-in cooler..

My only suggestion is that make sure you work somewhere
where you don't mind the food. I never could have worked at
McDonalds, but I worked at Popeye's for two years as my
first job.. and they have pretty good food!
