For the looks, not the synth itself.

You need a pair of glasses to read the labels for the modulation routings. Its not a problem if you know the device well, but I can see that interfering with your ability to get past foreplay. Other issues I have with it; The general layout seems cluttered. Also hate the knobs (unless they are rubberized plastic, which instantly makes them the most comfortable looking knobs in existence). Stuff that anywhere-instruments does always seems like high end DIY, which I guess is about par for most boutique synthesizers.
Having said all that, I would love to get my hands on something they have done. I played with a couple of their synths when I visited Montreal and loved them. That Tinysizer would look like sex in any studio.

It's possible to shrink analogue electronics down to very small sizes using modern surface mount components and multilayer PCBs, however making a small interface is always a challenge.
I think the best way to do it is like a VCS3. Have and X/Y matrix of LEDs showing mod routings. Each route-able section of the synth has a push button.
Press one button, then press another to route them. This causes the LED to light and a crosspoint switch internally connects them.
Unlike a VCS3 the switch is an on/off (not different coloured plugs giving different levels). However the on/off state is the same as having a patch lead connected/ not connected.
If you look at that thing, loads of it is mod matrix. If you could implement a smaller mod matrix you could make the synth even smaller.
Maybe have metallised tops on the knobs. When you press a dedicated "route" button, the next two button tops which are pressed are auto routed. Coupled with dinky LEDs for the X/Y matrix display you could make it tiny.
I suspect those those patch leads will break fairly quickly looking at them.

Yeah, you need a certain amount of space to show a certain amount of information, definitely. i think they made good use of the space they had available, but I would have given myself a larger space to work with...
Or for that matter, gotten rid of the Tinysizer label and input labels, and made more space for my modulation labels.
