yes, karaoke. is the shit

what's the most embarassing karaoke performance of yours?
mine is:

singing red hot chili pepper's scar tissue into a place full
of people. i was happy man, and drunk as hell but thanks god
the place wasn't too big. one of those old boats that end
their career docked into the city river (more sewer than
river) anyway

the presenter was uber faggot (dude looked a bit like
this) and all i can remember is me squeezing my
brain in order to read/understand/sing simultaneously,
trying to make it sound competent. cool shit was that i
managed to ignore Albino (the presenter) and the crowd (i
don't have a lucid memory of them) and finish it w/o running
away for shame. my friends were crying for the lols and
other people's girlfriends got all sexy.

yours?

spoloier: there's a little background for this i might
reveal as long as i'm satisfacted with the stories

k since retape replied
here's the secret

you can do the same with rap songs youtubes, you search for
the lirycs and sing those along. for the non anglophones
just following the words with the eyes will do. otherwise
you can do that with non rap songs if you don't like the
genre but in that case you suck, and there's nothing i can
do

pratically it's the same thing we did on the autechre
marathon or all the other radio live shows, so it can be
done for electronica too but mentally, exercising your ear
to recognize timbre into a moving program, that you know you
won't hear again. it's cool, you can lean to spot slight
changes with this, and passion of course

thanks me later

live shows is also going at the concerts, you do the same
when you try to remember the pieces being played (you're not
supposed to stay lucid there) or

you can choose not to relisten again to a program even if
its not live, if it has periodic instalments for instance (i
play it countless times only if it's seriously good)

anyone?

please don't let me down
