hi guys. not sure how familiar you guys are with
torrents...i happen to not be...at all. but i just
downloaded the reason 4 torrent and it seems to have
downloaded fine. But when I start the program it says
"please insert reason 4 dvd" I obviously don't have the
dvd...any suggestions?

Check the folder you downloaded for a readme - you probably
downloaded it as a disk image. Easiest way to get round this
is to burn it onto a cd so you have the disk its looking for

I dont see any .iso files in the folder at all. should i
burn the reason.exe files to a dvd? no readme that says what
to do, im running this on windows by the way.

just copy all the files you downloaded onto a dvd. it only
needs it once to transfer the soundbanks over. if you
can't/don't want to waste a dvd use something like MagicISO.
of course, you will still need a serial number to get reason
to work.

so i copied everything over to a dvd. didn't work. I can't
use magic ISO because there are no iso files to write to the
dvd. seems like maybe the torrent i downloaded doesn't have
the filesi need.

so once i get the iso. i just write that onto the disk and
it will read it as the dvd?

I seem to have luck with torrents I'll try to find a good
torrent and give you some instructions that are simple.

You will need the following.

Reason 4 Torrent

Daemon tools lite[Free]

1.Install Daemon tools when download the torrent because
you'll have alot of free time because this torrent is quite
large.
Oh yeah, click for non commercial usage and its completely
free =], click off the search provider and all that other
junk if you dont want it on the setup.Done with that.

2.When reason is done downloading, run Daemon tools lite
click on a disc with a plus symbol and it should bring up a
window, find your iso, press okay.
it should have brought up the iso in daemon tools lite,
right click the iso in daemon tools and click "mount"
go to My computer, click on the CD labeled "reason" or
whatever its name, run setup, when it asks for the serial,
go to the download folder find the serial.txt find the
serial put it into the setup.
