Hahaha!

I was listening to a great Cocteau Twins song in
Pearly-Dewdrops Drops, and trying to decipher what on earth Fraser
was going on about.

The chorus is quite obviousy:

Movie Stars, are ruddy close,
Oh as the Pearly-Dewdrops drops,
'Tis a lovely lovely pearly pearly pearly bicycley tulips,
so.

And much to my chagrin, I found it was actually:

We'll be sold, when Roddy comes,
Comes for pearly dewdrops drops,
'Tis the lucky lucky penny penny penny,
Buys the pearly to their souls.

Hahahaha, now that caught me off guard.

There's the classic Jimi Hendrix one in Purple Haze:

'Scuse me while I kiss this guy.

This and this house them all.

On the Kissthisguy site, there's this little interpretation
of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights:

It's me; I'm a tree, I'm a wombat.
Oh, so cold at the end of your winter

CHERRY-COLOURED FUNK

Beetles and eggs and blues and pour a little everything else
You steam a lens stable eyes and glass
Not get pissed off through my bird lips as good news

Still we can find our love down from behind
Down far behind this fabulous, my turn rules

Beetles and eggs and blues and bells and eggs and then blued
Beetles and eggs and blues and pour a little everything else
You steam a lens stable eyes and glass
Not get pissed off through my bird lips as good news

You'll hang the hearts black and dull as the night
We hanged your pass and start being as you in ecstasty
Still being cried and laughed at before
Should I be sewn in hugged I can by not saying
Still being cried and laughed at from light to blue

And should I be hugged and tugged down through this tiger's
masque
And should I be sung and unbroken by not saying
You mind not saying

He'll hang that heart's black and dull as the night
Still being cried and laughed at from behind me, from gains
We hanged your pass and star being as you in ecstasy
Still being cried and laughed at from behind me, from gains
Should I be sung and unbroken by not saying
Still being cried and laughed at from behind me, from gains
Hugged and tugged down through this tiger's masque for key

its not from a song but another misunderstanding,
in germany you can do a "civil service" instead of a
forced basic year in the army. e.g. working with disableds
etc.
so my friend and i chose to do that and my buddy´s
grandpa then asked him the how the "civil defense" was
like.
we laughed :)

Does it have to pertain to song lyrics? My friend's mom has
done too many to count over the years, but it's just her
misinterpretation of various words and phrases. I wish I
could think of more than one because there have been
probably hundreds, but I know she thought the animal
Armadillo was "Amorello" for quite a while. Oh, and she
referred to the film "Dumb and Dumber" as "Dumber than Dumb"
for several years. I guess these aren't really Mondegreens,
we called them "Patties."

Zephyr...you can call them whatever you like and post as
many as you want.
I should have just called it the We All Make Mistakes ~It
Doesnt Mean We Have Oldtimers Disease Thread.
I still wince when I think of the time RD mentioned HGTTG
trainers and I thought they were some super cool brand
name.

There was a girl who I used to know, called Faith. Nobody
could get her name right, and went through Joy, Hope and
Grace before arriving at her actual name. She was not
amused.

I hate those kind of names. I pray I never meet a
"Charity."

Also, thanks for your acceptance of my missing-the-point,
Atty. <3

I bet you, a girl called Charity is fed up with swarthy
cocks telling the totally original "I'll donate to Charity"
joke.

legally changed.

In my primary school, there was a boy called Bilal - he
didn't have a surname, so the school thought it to be the
best choice in repeating his first. Any time he got an
award, the name on the certificate would be "Bilal Bilal" -
and as kids, that just gives you invitation to sing "Bilal
Bilal" to the tune of Piero Umiliani's "Mah Nà Mah Nà".

Happy 16k meaningless internet points.

I think you should go the Prince route and change your name
into a symbol. I'd want the biohazard one.

I would gladly change my user name if I could. I've always
regretted not spending more than 5 seconds coming up with
one.
