happy thanksgiving

had dinner at aunt in laws, everything was great. we had
this cranberry sauce that was almost between a sauce and a
relish w orange rind, celery and other stuff. was really
good with the turkey. also several varieties of pies,
trimmings, etc. including old fashioned mince meat.

I said it was weird, not that I don't like pumpkin pie!

I've never had it afore, actually. Wonder what it tastes
like...?

imagine something in between a sweet potato/yam and a
squash, processed into a firm custard and spiced with
cinnamon and nutmeg.

Mm, sounds like something I might enjoy!

But by itself does it taste any good, without being
processed and spice?
