A-Side:
Track 1: Like this track a lot. Aleksi teased some dubstep
with 'Black Leicester', and here, he comes with an even more
out-and-out dubsteppy thing. Compared to a lot of dubstep
out there, its pretty leftfield sounding, but holds its own.
Maybe the bass isnt as badass as it thinks it is though.

Question: 'This one belongs in the summer of 1988'. Unless
there is some meaning I am missing here, this sample just
doesnt fit at all. The tracks sounds anything but summery,
and the dubsteppyness sounds about as far away from 1988 as
possible. Any thoughts?

Track 2: Now here's a fucking summery track. Lovely, with
some, dare I say, BOC sounding melodies in there. Aleksi on
the acid tip is ALWAYS a pleasure. Once again, a dubsteppy,
or maybe more garagey beat. But genre-smemre, who gives a
fuck. Just some nice shit.

Track 3: Oh yeah. We get treated to some Astrobotnia
throwback shit here, but just with Aleksi's more recent,
more sparse, drum pattern style. Kind of a Bug-ish dancehall
beat, but just dampened down to fuck. Got them beautiful
spacey pads like only Mr. Perälä knows how. AStrobotnia's
1+3 are still in my top 5 albums of all time. TOP 5 LISTS
LOL, I'M LYK NME LOL LOL.

B-Side:
Now, I thought this track was a piece of shit when I first
heard it, but after reading The Metro newspaper today
(unholy scaremongering shitrag), it created some much needed
24-esque tension. Still, Mr. Perälä you are capable of
much more than this Richie Hawtin bollocks.

Would love to hear everyone elses thoughts...

A1 is BADASS, i like how it does sound, like a fight. the
samples there are perfect imo. messages apart, it just works
for me. no rap, no music no music no music.

A2 is happyish yes but i prefer when he sounds the opposite,
definately.

A3 the super spacey pads make it fly.

B1 class.

whole point imho

a2 - love how its all mellow, slowly uplifting
and then climaxes really fastpaced.
could go on longer^^ but..
a3 - ..picks up the high feeling almost seamlessly.
these tracks go very well after one another.

b-side.. as stated before, id really go for some
(more entertaining) noisy, percussive stuff than this.
make it epic as the rest aleksi!
was hoping for afx & hecker to go down that line too.

can we have album now? .-)

I second the album comment. The MySpazz tracks are too good
to not be realeased, esp. 'First Step'.

mp3's generally lose higher frequencies. I can hear the sub
bass. But maybe not to its maximum potential.

the sub is not the whole point for me though, when listening
to headphones the tracks give a whole different feel, it
sounds more haunting yet calm, with a lot of space where to
spot details that become much less relevant in the presence
of sub-bass frequencies
